Very secluded, weather permitting it would’ve been a beautiful sunrise. We loved the staff and our stay was really fun! The outdoor tub was so much fun. Dinner is self cook, which wasn’t fully described as we thought there would be a chef, regardless it was delicious.

Staying at Kogomian was an unforgettable experience. It’s a unique traditional Japanese house — spacious, cozy, and full of character. But what truly makes this place special are the hosts. I feel so lucky to have met them; it felt like visiting family rather than just staying somewhere. They showed us a local onsen, and on our second night, they prepared a wonderful dinner with homemade udon. We also got to try real matcha, which was such a lovely touch. This stay became one of the most memorable moments of our entire trip. I truly hope to visit this beautiful home again in the future.

We stayed the night before a half day rafting tour. The hostel is also the head off ie of go go adventures and one of the rafting instructors and his family stayed with us in the same house. The house has very much a hostel feel. Although it may have seen better days, we had a comfortable night sleep on futons in tatami rooms and the staff was very friendly.

such a unique location to stay in on the island of Shikoku. The hotel itself was super cool. Rooms are very spacious. Bathroom facilities were clean. Amenities and everything on site was great. Wifi worked great. Coffee and pizza are FANTASTIC. Note everything we ate was vegetarian while here, so if meat is a must have for you, just be aware. But we loved everything we ate. The staff were also so incredibly kind and engaging with us while we were there. At first the language barrier may be hard to navigate, but they truly cared about us, our trip, and chatted with us every morning while at breakfast. :) highly recommend this place if you want something off the beaten path in a unique area notes: mt tsurugi is ~2 hr drive away, oboke gorge is 20 mins away, Nagoro scarecrow village is ~2 hrs away, kagawa ~1-1.5 hrs away

I loved the traditional aspects of the hotel; storing shoes to change into slippers so as not to dirty floors and ruin the tatami. The Japanese breakfast was exceptional! And the staff professional and warm.

I had a terrible sleep the night before so I contacted the property last minute asking for an earlier checkin and they incredibly accommodating. Although the cafe and restaurant I wanted to visit were both closed (things here close very early) I came here for rest not so much adventure. The room was comfortable, the shower facilities were large and nice and the shared-living space is cozy. Thank you!
