Very close to Kameoka Station and across the street from the Kyocera Stadium. The hotel was very comfortable and there plenty of things do do around the area, if you like a quiet surrounding. The breakfast was very good too. I think that I will be using Hotel Route Inn properties more when I am in Japan.

The staff were wonderful - we had to reorganize our check-in time several times, and they were really nice and helpful. They even helped us send our luggage straight to Tokyo and were very attentive about a gluten allergy one of us has. The food was a solid 10 out of 10. We had an outstanding dinner and a traditional Japanese breakfast with all the small, beautifully presented dishes.

The property is set in a serene valley, just West of Kyoto. It is quiet and peaceful, with great amenities. The host, Christian, goes above and beyond to ensure you are comfortable and having fun. With options like a glass blowing experience, a private traditional concert, delicious breakfast, planned excursions, and many others, this is the only place I know for a fact I will be returning to in Japan. Thank you so much Christian and Family! Your hospitality made our trip / belated honeymoon better than anyone else could have.

A short stay at this Ryokan was exceptional! We booked for one day and were greeted with many friendly staff members. They were very helpful in giving us directions and tour of our open bath room. We went during a slower day so was able to experience the public bath to ourselves. Our own private bath was also very comfortable and relaxing. On top of this, you must experience the traditional breakfast and dinner menu, the food was unique and quite filling! Lastly, although the location is farther from the train station, they offer free shuttles, highly recommend!

I love the traditional feel of this property! Staying in a house with tatami mats was a dream come true for me. The property was well kept and has a lot of character! If you like traditional japanese house 100% recommend this property! It’s about 40 mins from Kyoto but it was worth it! You can also take the scenic train ride from kyoto to the property! Amazing location!
