The house has such a quaint feel and its pretty isolated from any light pollution or people making it very quiet and easy to relax. Inside is very modern with high quality equipment. The kitchen has everything you'll need to cook (pick up groceries before arriving as there aren't any stores nearby) and the bathroom has very nice ReFa products. I also love that there is no TV to create distractions. This makes sure we are really getting a good reset and rest for our minds. It also stops the kids from asking to watch TV all the time! We stayed here to go snowboarding this season, now I'm hoping we can find time to come back during the summer months too! Before we went home, we visited the Onsen just 2 minute's drive down the road. Both the indoor and outdoor baths were so comfortable and relaxing. The food there was delicious, too. We got the Hot Soba. A perfect end to our trip!

Staff were amazing, the room was very big and comfortable, soft western style beds and pillows, amazing dinner and breakfast service in traditional style. Several baths to choose from and they rotate them each day for men and women.

Everything! The manager and her team at this hotel were all fantastic! Super friendly and helpful! Room was spacious and clean. The hot spring bath was incredibly relaxing. And the food was delicious!

The location was wonderful, a small Onsen town out of the way. They picked us up form the station. The staff was kind, considerate, and helpful. They did everything they could to make our stay as wonderful as possible. Cuisine and dining was incredible and refined. Loved the in house Onsen facilities, they were very relaxing. Definitely would recommend for anyone wanting an authentic Ryokan experience in Japan.

The place located in a beautiful surrounding which walking distance to the station. The owner is very friendly and met some wonderful travelers. You can find an apple farm and a highway service area near to the guesthouse and the service station sells fresh fruits.

great location overlooking the river. Rooftop onsen has great view. Buffet breakfast and dinner were great value. My first time in Japan, Ueda and it's surroundings are wonderful. Riverside Uedakan, HAI !
