Clean and new! The bed was comfortable, and the toilette was individualy equipped inside the room was genius since they offered shared shower. It’s really considerate that they offer also lotion, was hot the water and strong. Closed to many trails and onsen, it’s a nice spot for road trip people to stay over. The public dining room offers oven to heat up the toast was a good move from owner, they also running a restau/shop where can buy some tasty food and cute accessories.

The staff were very friendly and extra helpful. They properly explained the features and facilities of the hotel, as well as the rules and regulations. They were also very prompt. Dinner was served exactly at 6:30PM. Talking about the dinner, it was exceedingly delicious and sumptuous. There were a total of 13 Japanese dishes, and the staff took time to explain how to eat them and in what order. The hotel also had both private and public onsens (shared with other guests). My friends and I had the best experience, given that we had just completed our Kumano Kodo. Breakfast was equally delicious. Lastly, we are deeply grateful to the staff member who drove us to the nearest bus station to ensure that we did not miss our forward schedule. Everyone, book your stay at the Yunominesou. It’s super worth it.

Exceptional property, beautiful Japanese home, modern, clean, new, and fully equipped with washer & dryer. Location very close walking distance to Kumano Kodo trail head at Ukegawa. Owner also runs a noodle restaurant at the trail head. The home is about 2 miles from Hongu. The owner is wonderful. Excellent value.

From the booking process until our stay, everything was handled very well. Communication was excellent, including the free pick-up service from Kumano Hongu Taisha, the ride to the supermarket for groceries, and the clear explanation about the beautiful and clean cottage. After walking for 11 hours from Chikatsuyu, we truly found a wonderful and comfortable place to rest in this cottage. The facilities were very complete, and Tak’s hospitality was exceptional. The next morning, we were picked up right on time and dropped off back at Kumano Hongu Taisha, which made our journey even more convenient and stress-free. Highly recommended, and we will definitely stay here again in the future.

The entire property, location, most important is Aya was so nice and helpful. She was the first person who speaks English we met, up to the date. She prepared vegetables instant noodle and other dry food for us, which I hardly can get in my whole trip in Japan. Aya also delivered our luggage to our next hotel free of charge.
