Room is clean and spacious. Bathroom in the room is well equipped and decorated. The public outdoor hot spring was so nice and relaxing. And there’s also a free private indoor hot spring that was very nice too. And I really like that the hot springs are 24/7. Meals were so good and all the staffs were so friendly and helpful.

I did not stay in Gero itself but near the town of Kanayama - a cozy town I can recommend for its quiet and tranquility, ideal for anyone who wants to disconnect from the bustle and business of everyday life. Also, I can warmly recommend the local (English-speaking) guide who took me on a great tour around town. Just ask the hostess of Juju-An for details and arrangements. It was super easy.

Gero has so much to share, with food, including Hida beef, yes get familiar with it. It's top level Wagyu beef and is from Hida the region that Gero is situated. The city is easy to get around in the snow (in Winter) and in the rain (in Spring), with places that are easy to walk or ride share to. Gero to most is a journey to get to with taking the trains, but it's well worth the journey, having seen cherry blossoms in the ever greens AND the snow falling like in a "snow globe", encrusting the tress, during the train ride. We are fortunate to have experienced Gero twice and now looking for a third stay, in Autumn for the changing of the leaves!

Gero is a gorgeous town in the valley in Gifu. There is a much slower pace here, incredibly friendly people. and beautiful nature. There's many nooks and crannies where you'll find interesting things, and the Gassho-mura open-air museum village is a must-see area.

I did a one day trip, I went there just because of the naturals onsen, and it was the best decision, I arrived about 10:00 at leave at the same time of the next day. Honestly I don't think is a trip for more than 3 days. Gero is a beautiful city, it has a few museums that can be seen in one period of the day. As the city is small, it doesn't need car or bus to go around if no one has fiscal disabilities. This was my second time at Japan, and I regret not going to Gero the first time as well.

The hotel location is perfect, near the train station and the town, they pick the guests up at the train station. The staff is very polite and efficient, we loved the Japanese bedroom, the breakfast and the onsen. There are three or four onsen in the hotel and you can use them from 3pm until midnight. We have a very nice experience in this hotel, highly recommended.

Absolutely beautiful accomodation, modern, spacious, so clean. Food was exquisite. Staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a great experience (our favourite accomodation in Japan, and wish we stayed two nights instead of one!). Room was beautiful with two private onsens where you can adjust the heat! We definetly will stay here again on our next trip! Thank you!

Beautiful place with a kind host, but since I didn’t know it wasn’t directly in Gero, having to take another tram made the journey less convenient. The distance from Gero was inconvenient, and we ended up not having any onsen experience, which was what we were really looking forward to..
