Customer service was ok, but it’s just standard to receive good customer service in Japan.

Lots of parking. The private bath was great. The refreshment bar downstairs was a nice plus. Room was big! Hotel was clean and well maintained.

The hosts were very kind. The food was homey and delicious. The facilities were clean. Very simple but great stay. They were also kind enough to tell us about issues in the ski resort and gave us the option to cancel.

Check in was fairly easy. Rooms, bathrooms and eating spaces were clean and dust free. Great 1 night stay for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids). Quiet overall. I didn’t have time to experience the onsen, but I saw there was a fee.

This is a great budget property. Nice and comfy rooms.

the facilities were old but sturdy, there was a pick up from the station and the lady at the reception was lovely. The room had a tatami room and fully equipped. There are no restaurants at a walking distance, but if you have a car there are supermarkets nearby to stock up. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were clean. I brought my house trained dog, who is well mannered to oblige the facilities' rule to carry them in their carriers in shared spaces (hallway, elevator, lobby etc) and the beautiful dog friendly park 5 minutes walk was a cherry on top. The view is amazing from the hotel, and the hot springs were an additional charge (per person/ per day) not entailed in the original booking but common in the area. Id love to come back again!

Absolutely beautiful winter stay. Lots of eateries and shops. Lots of snow activities to enjoy as soon as you step out of the door. Ski/snow boarding lessons, rental gear, ski lifts, sledding, snow mobile rides. Free shuttle bus to and from train station was a plus. Everything was great, especially the staff.

we have to commend the front desk receiving receptionist. We were not able to get her name but she was very helpful and she really tried to communicate with us in English... Kuddos to this Hotel for hiring very accommodating staff. We are already planning our visit again to this hotel.

The owner was amazing. He was very fun and friendly. He liked to share stories and talk with our family. He had a full ski and snowboard rental area for the whole family and was able to fit each person for the slopes.

- Ski-in-ski-out (1 min walk to Ishiuchi Maruyama (west) lift) - Staff are friendly and helpful, providing on-site shuttle arrangements and after-stay services. - Free and convenient parking - Free laundry (only one washer with no dryer, but it is often available) - The property’s condition matches the photos and is generally clean. - The honor-system convenient shop has all basic items, including cold drinks in the fridge. - Not many choices for equipment rental nearby but the shop across the street is really good - The onsen (5 min by car) is really good and tenants enjoy 200 yen discount.

Every single detail about this hotel is outstanding. This hotel is practically 5*. Sparkling clean, comfortable, beautiful, just perfect.

The property is very comfortable and is well-priced. The owner is incredibly helpful and all necessary ammenities are provided. Lastly, the location is conveniently close to a snow resort.

Super close from ishiuchi Maruyama hatsuka ishi. 5 min walk to the ski slope. Super good deal with hattori rental— 1900yen/day for renting ski boots and ski all together is unbeatable.
