From the time we checked in to when we checked out, the attention and courtesy we received from the staff was simply amazing. Their attention to detail and willingness to cater to our needs was refreshing to see. One example was the initiative taken by the chef to bake a "rice flour bread" when informed that one of our guests gluten intolerant. Special mention of Lalith, Sahas and Tharanga for their excellent customer service.

Nice room with two balconies in white colors, maybe in colonial style. Good bed, linen, towel. Good pressure of hot water. Delicious breakfasts in the picturesque garden with coconut palms, a fruit plate - the largest we have seen in Sri Lanka. Two minutes to a large empty beach. The place is quiet, the railway did not bother us. Actually it was a fun to watch trains passing by. The hotel did not offer lunch or dinner, but there were several restaurants nearby. My wife had a massage and she liked it. The owners suggested visiting a turtle farm. 10 minutes by tuk-tuk. We liked it very much. You can look at newborn turtles and even hold them in your arms.

Chami, the owner of the Villa and Rathur were so kind in helping us with organizing for us different tours and facilities. Rathur has taught me surfing🏄‍♀️ I had two classes with Rathur and on the second one I was already confidently surfing.😍 The team has supported whatever request we had. We have traveled with family and with elders and all our family really liked the Villa and the team and their support. The rooms were very clean, which was important for us. And the Villa was located in such a good location that there was a sea food restaurant exactly behind the villa. It was very near to the market 5 minute with tuk tuk 🛺 or 10-15 minute by foot. It was near to the train which is good in case one wants to travel around by train. The beach was very clear and very near to the villa, just 10 minute walk and if you ask Rathur, he will show the shortest way to there as well. The most importantly the beach was exactly what I was expecting for swimming.

Bentota had super beaches, pristine shoreline, and some good properties. Make sure to visit the turtle hatcheries, to get view on the large sea turtles, and their hatching process. Do note that whale watching options are from Mirisa beach (2 hours drive from bentota), so if thats an agenda, you will need to stay at Mirisa beach locations.

A beautiful place with an incredible beach. I visited 2 temples and Lunuganga while I was there. I just wish the tuk tuk drivers didn’t try and rip the tourists off, 2 separate drivers tried to get me to pay cash I areas of the card payment, and more that the pick me app said when I booked. But having spent a lot of time here in Colombo I was wise to their ways. Other than that it’s a beautiful place to be

We where there primarily to relax after spending a couple of weeks in the country birdwatching. We went to the beach on a couple of occasions. It was quiet and peaceful with options for food and drinks. It was generally clean. On the days we visited the sea was too rough for swimming.

The staff were absolutely wonderful and made us feel truly cared for. Everything exceeded our expectations. The hotel’s location right on a stunning, peaceful beach is simply perfect. The beach bar is beautiful with plenty of great options for relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. The food in the restaurant was outstanding and delicious in every way. The rooms were spacious, immaculate and offered breathtaking sea view with excellent housekeeping throughout our stay. We would definitely love to return.

Bwntota itself is not a nice village, like most of the places in Sri Lanka, there is not really much to see in this little villages. The main stree in impossible to visit, Cars and bikes are running like crazy. We have stayed most of the time close to our guesthouse, which was located in a nice and safe area, close to the beach and to some resorts which we have visited also for lunch and dinner. The rail station is really close, and it allows you to take the train to go to Galle. The train is a vintage one and the rise is so funny that you can't miss it.

We did not venture into Bentota.

We did not venture into Bentota. We are expats living in Colombo so no need to explore the city. The hotel was at the right spot for a 100% relaxing weekend away with no distractions. The ocean is not that swimmable as the sea was very rough and looked dangerous. The pool was a welcome alternative. We drove to Galle for the Saturday to watch the game between Springboks and Kiwis. That was not too far, one hour away and a very scenic route. The hotel was also fully booked so must be popular.

Great hotel in a good location. A short walk to the lovely beach nearby and to neighbouring restaurants and set back from the road so very tranquil. Sanjee was an excellent host and knowledgeable about the local area.Geoffrey and his wife served a delicious breakfast every morning - fresh fruit platter, fruit juice, eggs of choice, toast and tea. The swimming pool was a good size for swimming and very clean and the pool area was lovely for relaxing. Would highly recommend - one of the best places we stayed in Sri Lanka.

That was my first booking in Sri Lanka and now I know it was one of the best, the cleanest and well kept places. The friendly owner welcomed me with a fresh juice, she helped me arrange tuk tuk rides when I struggled to do so in the app. The room was super spacious and clean, same goes for the bathroom. There is a mini kitchenette there as well with kettle, sink and fridge. The location is very peacful and only 10 minutes away from the more bustling center of Bentota.

A beautiful hotel in a stunning location by the beach, and the perfect way to end our holiday in Sri Lanka. Our room was gorgeous and so comfortable, and the staff are friendly and helpful, and made us feel so welcome. There is a really personal touch. All the food was delicious, and breakfast was a real treat. We had to checkout early in the morning and they ensured breakfast was served early for us to accommodate this. Would highly recommend.

The place was a little bit secret. From outside, we can not see how beautiful the interior is. It seems there are not too many customers in the hotel. It was quiet. From the hotel, we could walk to the beach. The second last night in Sri Lanka, the hotel was fantastic!
