33 Lake Terrace is a calm and peaceful place. I enjoyed a boat ride on the river, where you can see many different birds and watch local fishermen at work. The beach is only a 10‑minute walk away, so it’s easy to enjoy both the river and the sea. Altogether, it’s a lovely spot for nature and relaxation.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Linara Hotel in Hikkaduwa, and it was truly an exceptional experience from start to finish. The hotel is perfectly located right by the beach, offering stunning ocean views and a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to relax and unwind. The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable, with all the amenities needed for a pleasant stay. I especially loved having a private balcony where I could enjoy the fresh sea breeze and beautiful surroundings. The hotel also has its own swimming pool, which was well-maintained and a great place to spend a quiet afternoon. What stood out most was the tranquility of the location—away from the crowds, yet close enough to enjoy everything Hikkaduwa has to offer. Honestly, there was nothing to complain about. From the cleanliness and comfort to the peaceful beachfront setting, everything exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend Linara Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in Hikkaduwa. Looking forward to visiting again!

A gem of a place. Tranquil and beautiful with views of the lake. Pool was clean and inviting. Rooms were spacious (we were in the family room) and all the staff were wonderful. It was a short tuk tuk ride to the beach which was loved to do. Great food to boot.

Upon arriving the staff were very welcoming. They offer juice, fresh coconut and brought us to our room. The rooms are very clean. Lots of towels and the bathroom was spotless! The pool is in a nice location with a view of the ocean. The staff is what really made this an excellent place to stay. The manager sent us fresh fruit and coconuts and made sure we had everything we needed. He told us to make this feel like a second home and was very welcoming with a big smile on his face. This is a perfect spot for a quiet get away far enough from town to enjoy yourself peacefully. This is a must stay location!
