Despite the non stopping rain for days and days, our stay in Amanta Beach was just perfect. Everything is as shown on the photos and written in the description and actually there is much more. Slightly out of the village, just right on the private beach, with a huge garden and a cute swimming pool, you will be offered very tasty breakfasts and dinners.. The rooms and the private gardens have everything you may need. And those stylish decorations! I need to mention also the very lovely staff who make you feel very welcome and still manage to give you the privacy you want in such a place. It is not the cheapest, but absolutely worth the value.

I felt like this was my home away from home! I had actually booked a different place, but immediately felt uncomfortable there, so last minute I booked here at Avila Nilaveli Beach Hotel and came by tuk tuk. Since I gave no advanced booking notice, the manager wasn't around when I arrived. The staff there immediately started making me comfortable with some cold juice, and they showed me to my room, even though I hadn't officially checked in yet. The rooms are very nice, clean, roomy, modern with very comfortable beds and A/C! The shower is very comfortable. They provide fantastic delicious breakfasts each morning! The grounds are beautiful and it is only two minutes walking distance from the beach. They kept bringing me bottled water and hot tea to keep me hydrated throughout the day! They are very helpful to hook you up with any tours or sightseeing that interests you. They also provide airport transfers and drivers for your needs. Their friends gather around in the evenings with a fun jovial atmosphere, and include you as if you are part of their family! I felt very welcome and comfortable during my entire stay!

Great location, with straight access to the beach. Staff were super helpful and welcome, the manager Roshan was looking after us with a smile at all times. He helped us with arrangements for taxis on our little trips around. The rooms had AC, were cleaned and bed was comfy.

Relaxed beach holiday destination away from the big crowds especially if you stay around Nilaveli rather than Uppaveli Great location to learn diving and snorkelling - reasonably priced and wonderful sea conditions from May/June to early October. Locals were incredibly welcoming Plenty of food options which are very reasonably priced. If you’re prepared to go off the beaten track a Sri Lankan curry meal for family of 4 will cost no more than RP3,000. In a hotel, similar will cost RP10,000. Would highly recommend if looking for somewhere where the beaches are peaceful, people are relaxed and looking to unwind!

The beach was nice.

The beach was nice. The staff was friendly and tried to go out of their way to help. There were somethings lacking in the room in order to make our stay more comfortable. There was no phone in case you needed to reach the front desk or staff. You had to go out to the front desk or look outside for staff if you needed anything. There is no TV in the room. There was a lot left to desire in the a la cart menu.

Laid back, friendly, not overly developed. Lovely people. Nice beach. Fishermen working, little farms growing lovely veggies, great scenery, bar the plastic. Several little restaurants locally serving fresh seafood in a variety of ways. Nice music. I did have an audience of local chaps when I was flailing about in the sea, so I came back in! On the whole as a solo traveller I felt safe. Had a really good Ayervedic massage locally as well. Went on a boat ride amongst the mangroves, then had a cup of tea at the boat guys daughter's house which was lovely. Great place to relax and do beach stuff.

I liked the small hotel we stayed in on the beach front (Mithra Paradise) and the semi-private beach. A real gem if you're looking for a quiet romantic place. Much better than the big faceless commercial hotels. I would recomemmend the small guest houses in the whole of SL for this reason as the service is exceptional and they are usually family-run so they put a lot of love and effort into pleasing their guests. No mosquitoes in July. Avoid the dolphin watching 'chasing' tours. Loads of boats making a big noise and running over the dolphins. Poor animals. You only glimpse them for a few seconds and the boat ride is hell on your back. Try the snorkelling instead.

it was great there.No worries about the sea,just the wind was blowing a bit strong.Com[any always around you,you are safe there.You can book snorkelling,boat rides,sea tour any time,many options available.saw about 200 DOLPHINS!fisherman always fuzzing around in the morning.Annoying fishing boats.

A much more peaceful beach holiday that at neighbouring Uppaveli, so if you want to get away from the crowds, it’s a perfect spot. The surrounding countryside looks beautiful too - I wish we’d have had more time to explore. We ate at Sara’s fish restaurant, where the seafood kottu & prawn curry were delicious.

We had a fantastic time at this homestay! The place is extremely clean, and the rooms are spacious and spotless. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful—they assist you with everything you need. The location is perfect: just a short walk to the beach, making it a great spot to relax and unwind. At the same time, it’s easy to reach the busier parts of Trincomalee if you want to explore more. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful yet convenient place to stay!

The hotel was very nice and clean and next door to a great diving center! But the staff really made the vacation great! We had lovely helping staff throughout the stay especially Danu and with the other staff members he made the stay very pleasant. Would really recommend to anyone wanting to go to nilaveli:)

We spent two nights at NN Beach Hotel and really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very kind and helpful, especially Nerojan The pool and the view were absolutely amazing! The manager was also attentive and gave us great advice. We highly recommend this hotel.
