I recommend this for the lgbt ppl who’s visiting Morocco the place is amazing and the food is delicious and the stuff is super nice and kind. I didn’t feel discriminated in anyway and I’ll be coming again inshallah best place ever!

El Jadida was a convenient stop for us as we wanted to be...

El Jadida was a convenient stop for us as we wanted to be reasonably close to the airport in Casablanca. The old town had a lot of history but not many shops or museums. The cisterns had been closed for construction for many months and they didn't seem to be opening soon. Without those it felt like attractions were a bit sparse. We had a pleasant visit for 2 nights.

Really enjoyed El Jadida, fabulous , incredibly reasonable, fish restaurants everywhere and the fort is tremendous. Sadly the big draw, the Cisterna was closed for renovation but I believe will re-open in May. Looks fabulous and is a real wonder of a place immortalised in one of the Bond films.

The hotel/riad was excellent, and if you need to be in El Jadida, that is the perfect place to stay, quite the experience. But the old fortress is the only site to see, this can be done by stopping at the near by parking lot and walking through the fortress. No need to stay overnight.

We enjoyed the old Portuguese walled city.

We enjoyed the old Portuguese walled city. We thought it was hilarious that the UNESCO listed, centuries-old Catholic church is now a movie theater! There are only a few tourist shops in the area; most of it is real city with people living their lives, shopping in the market, eating at local fast food places. It also felt extremely safe. We were comfortable walking around at any time. It was a great way to see how the locals live. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great place, very relaxing and very friendly locals.

Great place, very relaxing and very friendly locals. El Jadida is not heavily touristic which made it a nice break from Marrakesh, Fes, Tangiers etc as travelling in Morocco for a month. Highly recommended El Jadida for relaxing and wonderful people who live there.

You need to be aware that the cistern is currently close (Nov. 2025). It doesn't seem it's going to be reopen anytime soon. El Jadida is still a nice place to explore - you can nicely combine it with a trip to Azemmour which is a small town very near - access with a shared taxi, 20 minute ride. The combo makes a very nice weekend in less touristy places.

We were amongst the first three guests staying at Oceana Mazagan Suites Hotel. The property had been taken over by a new owner, and the previously run down hotel was being renovated. Very nice view if you get a room with view to the ocean. Above KFC and opposite McDonalds - practical, as during our stay no meal services could be provided.

The best thing was the very friendly hostess who went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. I got a lot of information about Morocco from talking to her. She also organized a cab for us to and from El Jadida. We loved the tasteful and cozy interior design. Breakfast was great, the rooms very large and quiet.

I would highly recommend this riad! It’s perfectly located in the center of the medina, just a short walk from the beach. The host, Mourad, gave us a very warm welcome, and the breakfast was excellent. If you’re visiting El Jadida, this is the perfect place to stay!

We had the most wonderful stay! The room was amazing with fantastic decor, extremely friendly and welcoming hosts. The terrace has the best view in the city - over the harbor and the sea. The breakfast was delicious - the best one we had in Morocco.

Amazing hotel with huge beach front that was mainly empty with only the sounds of the Atlantic Ocean. Hotel room was nice, comfortable bed, good customer service from all staff we interacted with and decent breakfast and dinner in Resturant.
