It’s a great place to stay with family or friends. Our room was very big for a couple (and our pug), with walls made out of wood and stone and a tall king bed. The ceiling is also tall with a fan in it plus ac in our room.

It is an older hotel that captures the ambience of Ixtapan de la Sal. You feel a bit to be part of the town. If you want a safistacad modern chain hotel look elsewhere. We really enjoyed the stay, the gardens and the breakfast.

After decades coming over and over it is still a beautiful hotel with amazing gardens. The staff was very helpful, the kids club was great too.

Tonatico is outside Ixtapan de la Sal.

Tonatico is outside Ixtapan de la Sal. Both noted for their spa experience. We spent most of our time in Ixtapan de la Sal. We ate at the Delfin (great shrimp emanadas), rode horseback and relaxed. The balnarios are great. It is a wonderful place.
