Valkenburg is a wonderful town, and we returned again for Christmas. Once again, we stayed at the Mercure Hotel. It is not in the center, but it’s not far. Interesting design, clean rooms, and nice staff.

The place is at the end of a small dead-end road, in nice quiet surroundings. It is new, very well-maintained and well-decorated. The backyard overlooking the meadow is definitively a bonus. With Eys itself and several villages nearby, you can easily do your groceries and shopping. The hosts are welcoming, very easygoing, proactive in their communications and swift to respond. Gem of a place!
