Cute little hotel with an excellent view. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is far up the mountain, but the hosts offer a quick shuttle service for a small fee. They even came down to get us on a day when the road was completely closed off by a broken down tour bus! We decided to walk down the mountain on our return to catch the many viewpoints of the fjord+ waterfall walk and Ian brought our luggage down directly to us. The kitchenette has everything you need, do a grocery shop at the Joker in town before heading up. Lovely view and birdwatching from the kitchen table was great at breakfast!

We stayed here in the middle of a one month trip to Norway. The location is amazing the staff are so helpful thank you Sandra and Kevin (glad you like the baked pasta) and our cabin Number 12 was absolutely perfect. Spotless, and comfortable. Enjoy coffee in the morning overlooking the fjord. Tremendous hiking all around. Groceries available at the Joker in town 5 minutes away. Peaceful. This stay helped make our trip a wonderful memory.

Small town nestled in the Fjords.

Small town nestled in the Fjords. We rented a car and drove down from Aalesund, we had no issues traveling and exploring the town. Life seems slower paced here, so best to relax and enjoy it. Local attractions include Glacier hikes, RIV boat tours, Fjord Kayaking, a Trampoline/Rope park, a museum, multiple lookout spots and plenty of food. Watch for heavy crowds when Cruise ships pull in, but overall it's a great town and we will be back.

We loved that we were here in off season so, it wasn’t...

We loved that we were here in off season so, it wasn’t packed with people. We got lucky with the weather too. We definitely will recommend! We loved the hike to the waterfalls, seeing the goats & llamas. We ate lunch in the cute cafe across from the hotel and had pizza in the bar. The walk down the stairs by the waterfall to town was v cool too.

It was great.

It was great. If you come in by bus and don't stop at Eagles Nest lookoff, go back up to see it. One way is to rent the little green eMob vehicles (2 passanger max), which actually work very well.

The most beautiful place in Norway, till now.

The most beautiful place in Norway, till now. Take the fjord cruise, more important, take a panoramic tour to the Eagle bend and a few other view points, the fjord looks more beautiful from the hill.

great place, wonderful views, food expensive, a lot of restrictions on buying any alcohol- locals very helpful full of cheap tourtist shops, lack of any classy shops with good local products- other than choclolate shop which was nice

Spectacularly beautiful location with a variety of activities to engage and appreciate the surrounding natural beauty. A smorgasbord of walks with majestic views of the fjord and surrounding mountains to cater for all abilities. A ferry ride on the fjiord and a kayaking trip gave a water view perspective of the sheer cliff edges and numerous waterfalls. Byserk Burgers was a great spot to refuel after a solid walk.

Lovely hotel with fantastic views over the fjords (our room has been upgraded) with very helpful staff. Hotel is located 2km outside of the Geiranger but free transport to the town centre is provided for the guests. Amazing breakfast with plenty options to choose from. Free take away coffee/tea available at the reception at any time was a great addition too. There is also outside jacuzzi and lovely newly built bar.

Nothing ! Instead of getting the accommodation we were expecting we got a place with no view, some garbage, no space in the rooms. In fact we discovered we were not in the Fossen accommodation but in another poor quality flat close to the flats used by the personnel of the Union Hotel ! The attached photo shows the view from the flat quite different from the booking photo and the garbage when we arrived !

. We stayed for 2 days, and the view from the cottage was breathtaking. The rooms were spacious enough for two people and well-heated, which was great since the nights were getting colder during our stay. There was hot water available all day for showers. The location was also excellent, close to the main sights in Geiranger.

These cute cabins are located 2.4km from a waterfall and 2km from Geiranger Town. The view from the cabin was amazing. Though the stove top kettle set up was basic had great evening. Then went to the waterfall before bed. Impressive warm shower in the spacious communal block. There are only 6 cabins.
