I actually never review anything as I travel every other week to a place and it would simply take too much of my time. This was truly exceptional and worth my time and review! I am staying in 5 star hotels all around the globe for my job but this is I think honestly the best I have ever stayed in. Can't think of one thing that did not exceeded my expectation.

We had a really lovely one-night stay at Grand Hyatt Manila. The king suite was huge, comfortable, and beautifully laid out. It felt calm and private, which made it easy to relax even with such a short stay. We had Christmas Eve dinner at The Lounge and enjoyed the cozy, festive vibe. The food was well done and the service felt warm and attentive without being overbearing. Breakfast the next morning was a highlight too. The buffet had plenty of choices, from local favorites to classic breakfast staples, and everything we tried tasted fresh. Overall, the experience felt effortless and genuinely enjoyable. It’s the kind of hotel you leave wishing you had booked an extra night.

FAQs about hotels in Manila

The City of Our Affections

With a rich mix of influences from Indian, Chinese, Spanish and American cultures, Manila is the vibrant capital of the Philippines and its cultural and economic center. Thanks to the trade with Latin America during the three centuries of Spanish colonization, Manila became an important city, known as the "Pearl of the Orient."

Don’t miss a visit to the Spanish remains in the Intramuros district. Important landmarks in the area are the Malacañan Palace, the City Hall, and the Manila Cathedral.

Rizal Park is a national icon, while the Baywalk promenade is great for enjoying the well-known city sunsets. Ermita and Malate districts are famous for the nightlife, trendy shopping and restaurants, as well as for some luxury Manila hotels. Between the promenade and the districts, its easy to see why Filipinos call Manila “The City of Our Affections,” where the people's love affairs with fashion, music, entertainment and sheer fun are on bright and beautiful display.

Divisoria is a traditional district for local shopping, bargains and typical food. Binondo is the oldest Chinatown in the world.

For hotels in Manila near the airport, Ninoy Aquino International Airport is not far from Makati City.

What Guests Said About Manila:

Lack of things to do for teenagers or children.

Lack of things to do for teenagers or children. If there is they are so far away to travel. With the traffic it is just pointless as your time and effort is wasted on sitting in traffic. Greenbelt 3, Landmark for reasonable priced stuff, Greenbelt 5 for people watching shopped at expensive places. Rockwell to walk and looked at stores. To eat: Sentro 1771 is my favorite. Tsokolateria is another. Omma. Chef Jessie’s place at Rockwell. Soul Origin. Avoid Manila altogether if you can due to the traffic.

Manila is a crowded city filled with traffic, some area with poor infrastructure . The temperature was hot and humid with mosquitos. There seemed to be a lack of outdoor activities and historical places to visit. It seems the main activities are mall and eating out.

Manila is an interesting city where poverty and excess exist together, the Filipino people are the best people in the world! However like all countries you have scammers…. Taxi drivers will triple charge a foreigner, I recommend green SM or GSM for short they have an app like Uber. When Filipinos build something and they never appropriate money for long term maintenance, they build it and forget about it. So the zoo is a little run down and dirty, condos are built and forgotten so they to become run down overtime But overall the food and people make Manila one of my favorite stops in the world

Location was good, shopping, eating, airport, but the Hotel is in need of major make over, back in the 80's or 90's was probably one of the leading Hotels, but it's outdated and greatly overpriced. Will be looking for better accommodation next visit to Manila / better value for money @ $131.00 Au per-night with no breakfast, you would expect a far better experience, cheers Brett Fleming.
