There's a very nice little inner garden. A breakfast was cooked for us considering our preferences. The parking is very close to the reception and getting to a room was a quick and easy route. The hotel is relatively small and wasn't crowded.

Bydgoszcz is an old Polish town often overlooked by travelers. It has a beautiful old town on the river that was until recently quite busy with navigation. Some older buildings got back to 1500s. The old town is the heart of the entertainment with a lot of restaurants and bars and street happenings. Bydgoszcz grew a lot in the end of 1900s and there are beautiful buildings and ornaments in the art-nouveau style all over the city.

Very interesting city with lots of history and some very pretty areas (the walk along the old canal was lovely, including seeing red squirrels!). As with all of Poland, the buses and trains are accessible clean and cheap. Food, beer, and service at Karramba (on one corner of the old market square) were superb. Toruń (a short train ride away) is very pretty

I spent Christmas in Bydgoszcz while visiting friends and...

I spent Christmas in Bydgoszcz while visiting friends and family, and the city proved to be a delightful winter escape. Festooned with twinkling Christmas lights and charming market stalls, it felt festive without being overwhelming. Meals were consistently excellent, and lingering over coffee and cake quickly became a daily pleasure. December temperatures dipped to around –6°C, but the dry cold made it surprisingly comfortable—just crisp enough to feel properly seasonal. Bydgoszcz offers great shopping, with a wide variety of stores, and the shopping mall alone could easily fill an afternoon. Getting around is effortless: the trams and buses are clean, modern, and excellent value for money. I also relied heavily on the Bolt app for taxis, which were quick to arrive and convenient, picking up almost anywhere within minutes—though prices have noticeably risen compared to two years ago. Above all, Bydgoszcz is a wonderful city to explore on foot, with scenic streets and no shortage of cosy cafés for warming up and refuelling along the way.

I was born here and used to love this city, especially its transformation from an industrial center into a tourist destination. Unfortunately, my recent visit was deeply disappointing. The city is overwhelmed by constant construction work, yet many areas feel neglected and abandoned. In some places it resembles a ghost town — people seem to disappear, while prices remain unreasonably high. Accommodation is expensive and often offers very poor value for the cost. Public transportation functions badly: buses are unreliable, and the overall public transport network feels almost non-existent. In reality, only taxis and private transport platforms operate efficiently. Pollution levels are also noticeably high. Although some cultural events may still take place, they are not easily visible or well promoted. As a result, visitors are left with the impression of chaos, high costs, and little return in terms of comfort or experience. Sadly, this visit did not reflect the city I once knew and admired.

Bydgoszcz has a lot of culture, including a fantastic filharmonia, an excellent opera house, and fine museums. Many places to get a meal, a cup of coffee, or a beer. The city has a cool vibe and the people are welcoming.

A charming mix of Gothic, Art Nouveau, and “I swear this building winked at me.” Chill, cultured, and just quirky enough to make you say “Bydgoszcz” three times fast and feel proud you nailed it. Warm-hearted, witty, and always ready to tell you why their city is cooler than Warsaw (and they might be right).

The apartment was very nice, comfortable and well appointed. Check in was simple and easy. The restaurant was so good we ate breakfast lunch and dinner there. The staff, particularly David and Claudia were very very good. I highly recommend this apartment and the attached restaurant to anyone visiting Bydgoszcz which is an interesting, laid back Polish city. PS. Do not take the river cruise unless you want to be bored out of your mind.

It’s a delightful apartment hotel very close to the city centre and all the attractions, bars, restaurants and opera! It’s very easy to travel around the city by tram or taxi, but walking is recommended.

So clean, we had a small balcony, super nice bed and pillows, minibar (expensive water!), would think it is a 4 star hotel. Near city center, you van walk or take a tram.
