Location, cleanliness, ambiance and hosts went above and beyond in all the little details. The supplies provided in the suite plus the many extras provided (such as fresh bread and cheese and a detailed itinerary of suggested sites to see laid out on a geographical order!) made it the best stay in our month long vacation of over 25 Accomodations!

This place is quite pleasant, with a charming old-fashioned design. The breakfast is good, though there's a bit of excess service – they bring a kettle of coffee, tea, and juice. It's not really a drawback, more of a minor point to note. The 24-hour access to a thermal pool is a major advantage. The highlight is the incredibly vast park surrounding the property. We loved our stay at Octant - the facilities are brilliant and we also enjoyed massages on the day we arrived. The staff are extremely friendly and made the stay very enjoyable. We ate at the restaurant 2 nights and the food was lovely - particularly the Wreck fish and the Beef Cheeks. Our stay at Octant was the perfect end to our trip to the Azores.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The atmosphere was peaceful and private, making it a perfect place to relax. The location and the whole property are incredibly beautiful, with a very cozy and welcoming feel. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, always ready to help and make us feel comfortable. We especially appreciated the fresh pastries delivered in the morning — such a lovely touch. Everything felt warm, comfortable, and cosy from the moment we arrived. We would happily come back again.

Achadinha is a quiet place but can serve as a great base to discover the north-east part of Sao Miguel. There are a few nice trails and waterfalls accesssible on foot. The village itself offers one great restaurant and a very small grocery.
