Very nice location in a working farm right outside Odemira, and 20 min driving distance to both Zambujeira and Almograve. Very comfortable beds, daily cleaning, and a simple but yummy breakfast manned by friendly cheerful staff. Great base for doing the Almograve to Zambujeira leg of the Fisherman's trail

Wonderful stay. Owners are extremely welcoming and it feels home-y in the rooms. Very comfortable with excellent beds and both a wall heater and overhead fan. Breakfast, served starting around 8am, was partially served and partially a buffet. Excellent quality and filling. There is a spa with Jacuzzi, dry, and wet saunas which can be reserved for 20 euro an hour. Highly recommended if you have the time. The facilities were new appearing and sparkling clean. Animals are dotted around the property and can be visited at one's leisure.

The house is really big and perfect for 5/6 people. It has an amazing backyard perfect for children or just to be there enjoying peacefully while having lunch/dinner. The location itself it's really quiet, you can hear the sound of the birds and no cars at all.

Amazing house, outside of town in the middle of a bunch of sweet potato fields. Felt very remote, in a good way. Beautiful pool (not heated), great outdoor patio space and yard. Comfortable beds. Great kitchen, well stocked.

The accommodation was equipped with everything I needed. I felt right at home there. The landlord described everything to me via WhatsApp, and everything was fine. When I was leaving the accommodation, I forgot my trekking poles there and messaged the landlord on WhatsApp. And he called, but I was unavailable at the time. But then I decided to leave the trekking poles there and continue on my journey. However, the landlord then called me back, picked them up, and brought them to me on my way. The landlord is very kindly person.

I don’t expect all hotels to be accessible for the elderly...

I don’t expect all hotels to be accessible for the elderly or disabled but I do believe booking.com should clearly indicate when a facility is NOT suitable for us. The photos and description of Casa da Umbria were accurate but didn’t tell the whole truth. I can normally make it up the 13-15 stairs to reach a first floor walk-up especially if there’s a good handrail. I didn’t expect to have to climb steep cobblestone walkways followed by 34 steps without a handrail ending in a death-defying 90 degree spiral-type turn to get to the front door. Then there were all the other defects noted in my review. The hostess prepared a wonderful breakfast and helped us schedule a taxi and bus to our next destination but she became very defensive when I mentioned the stairs so I shut up and didn’t even try to suggest anything else. I can’t say anything for or against Odemira in general because I was essentially trapped in our room until we left.

Residencial Rita is the perfect spot for overnight hikers. We hiked from Sao Teotonio to Odemira. The location is excellent, right in the middle of town close to many bars and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely hot water shower. The breakfast was delicious (early hikers, note it starts at 8am) and the owner was very helpful and friendly and arranged transport for us the next day. The town itself is very picturesque, along the banks of a river.

The best property we've stayed at in the Costa Vicentina in years, by far. The location is fantastic. Close enough to the seaside, and to Odemira town center. It is super quiet and idyllic, strolling at the lat sun hours near the farm animals is quite relaxing and very Alentejo-like. The pool is fantastic, and we loved how organized the sitting area was. There was also covered car parking, which is nice during hotter days.

The breakfast is outstanding, really enjoyed it. My favourite moments of my short stay were waking up the one of the horses rolling around on his back on the grass in front of my room, and one of the hotel cats walking onto my lap top when I was working and sitting down on the key board. Just brilliant.

Nice historical B&B. Great location in the heart of the pretty town Odemira and close to the Rota Vincentina trail. Nicely decorated and spacious room. Breakfast included.

Brilliant balcony with terrific view of Odemira. Comfortable bed. Nice that there is tea, coffee, and a kettle in the room. Friendly dog (Spike) who guards the property.
