The hosts love to know about their guests, their stories and their countries, and also have stories to share.

Property info

Quinta do Chocalhinho was acquired in 1947 by Luís Mendonça Freitas, an old railwayman and fisherman, who developed it in a remarkable way as long as he lived. Today, Quinta do Chocalhinho is thoroughly remodeled, in total respect for its grounds, by his grandson, also with the same name. It´s a space of five generations, willing to receive guests exactly in the same way as his late owner used to do with his friends: warm and affectionately, amongst the lovely hills of the unique transition between the coast and and the interior of Alentejo. A house with 10 double rooms, 3 double studios and 5 family rooms, tennis court, hiking trails and a newly opened SPA with jaccuzzi, saunas and a massage room, functioning by appointment, with an extra cost. The outdoor pool is heated from March to December and the tennis court delights players. Rota Vicentina trails are close by and a nice and warm breakfast is served each morning, with locally made products.
