Staying here was a dream! The beautiful location inside a vineyard is itself lovely. The incredible thoughtfulness of the owners and staff make this exceptional. We really enjoyed the basket of breakfast, the arrival cake and wine, enjoying it outside with the birdsong and sunshine…Vinha is just down the road from all the sites of Ponte de Lima. Resting up on the sun loungers, enjoying the clean pool, the jacuzzi at Vinha was deeply relaxing. We also enjoyed the fire pit. Maria and Ana are very warm and caring. It felt like childhood summers where all your cares are provided for and you deeply enjoy relaxing in nature. We brought our cat and his tent and every morning he loved getting out into the morning sun. The design of the rooms is really smart with clever details like the door’s window design so he could watch birds outside all day.

We had a short but very pleasant stay at the Inlima Hotel. Firstly, all the receptionists were incredibly friendly and helpful. Secondly, the room was amazing—not only was it spacious, but it also featured a large balcony with a stunning view of the church and a partial view of the river. The room included a safe and a small refrigerator, though I would suggest adding a kettle for convenience. The breakfast was more than adequate, offering a variety of options like bacon, mushrooms, eggs, and a wide selection of pastries and fruit (including watermelon, melon, oranges, and more). Additionally, you can order espresso or cappuccino. The location is excellent—just a 3-minute walk to the main promenade and nearby attractions. There's also a huge free parking area surrounding the hotel (the entrance is on the left), so finding a spot is never an issue. Overall, we had a very relaxing and enjoyable experience and would definitely return.

Very clean and comfortable. Good location. Near bars and they warned about noise and even provided ear plugs but it didn't bother us at all. They provided cold water, clean towels and toiletries. It had a chiller. The bathroom was clean and well-designed. The room was compact but very, very cozy. The staff was easy to contact and replied promptly. It was easy to access the rooms.

We downloaded a free walking app that we hope picked up all the main sites. However, there were lovely walks along the river banks, plenty of interesting restaurants, the Vinho Verde centre and friendly wine bars; all of which we had no time to sample.

Ponte de Lima is a lovely old town by the side of the River...

Ponte de Lima is a lovely old town by the side of the River Lima. There are plenty of small shops to visit and more than enough restaurants to choose from. Every restaurant we visited was exceptional, with reasonably-priced food and helpful members of staff. We visited the market while it was here and there was everything you could possibly need on sale. All in all, a great place to say, and we will return.

On a beautiful river with the medieval bridge and the pretty church on the other side being the distinctive features as we approached along an esplanade of trees. Lots of cafes and restaurants from which to choose. Would recommend finding those in the narrow streets located off the front.

We really enjoyed Ponte de Lima.

We really enjoyed Ponte de Lima. There happened to be the European Canoe Championships and a garden show taking place, so we enjoyed that. Unlike many towns with historic areas, Ponte de Lima’s historic area is right on the river, which makes for a very picturesque experience. We enjoyed the many great restaurants and the night time practice of outlining buildings with little lights- very cool. It was easy to get around town and people were very friendly and welcoming.

Ponte de Lima always has fun events going on.

Ponte de Lima always has fun events going on. It’s unique in that the historic center is right on the river by the Roman bridge. While we were there, the European Canoeing Championships and a Garden Festival were happening, which was fun to watch. Plenty of free parking right at the riverside and a lovely historic district to explore. All the modern conveniences close by. We were very impressed!

Cute town with iconic bridge.

Cute town with iconic bridge. I stayed for a day Easter Monday...the cafes and restaurants ALL closed at 3pm. Made me go into a panic of what to eat for supper, fortunately there was a sort of superette on the main road beside the river, the owner was very helpful in helping me assemble a picnic for less than 5 Euros! and I was able to afford a taxi (11 Euros); the owner went out of his way to escort me to the taxi rank!

It’s a beautiful accommodation - a residential house turned into a hotel. It’s like staying in a relative’s house, it feels so homey! Our room was nicely furnished, our bathroom was very clean, our bed so comfortable! Our host Isabel was so kind she offered to wash our laundry. She even folded them nicely. We deeply appreciated that. We stayed here for 2 nights and loved it. Ponte de Lima is a beautiful medieval town and this guest house was a good base to explore it.

Everything! This place is wonderful! So peaceful and the facilities are perfect. The room was spotless and spacious and the salt water pool was super refreshing. Breakfast was lovely and lunch was available from the small bar next to the pool which was an added bonus. Bikes were free to use to go along the river path to Ponte de Lima or in the direction of Viana de Castelo.

Very spacious room under the roof. Parking is free nearby close to the river front. Hotel is in the absolute middle of the town. But silent in the night. Breakfast was ok, nothing special but fine. All in all a nice experience and very kind owners. Last not least Ponte de Lima was a really surprising cute little town
