Romantik Villa is a truly special place. Upon arrival, we were delighted to find a thoughtfully appointed room, complete with a bottle of red wine and a kitchenette stocked with bottled water, Nespresso coffee, orange juice, yogurt, muesli, Nutella, butter, and jam. The next morning, Olivier brought us a basket of freshly baked pastries and bread from the local bakery. Everything was fresh and delicious. These thoughtful touches allowed us to relax and appreciate the beautiful setting from the moment we arrived. On our final evening, we picked up some local specialties and enjoyed dinner on our terrace overlooking the beautiful garden and the sea beyond. It was the perfect way to conclude a week-long stay in Portugal. Romantik Villa's warm hospitality, thoughtful amenities, and tranquil setting create an experience that is both relaxing and memorable.

The apartment was very comfortable with fantastic ocean views from the top deck. It had everything we needed and the location was perfect. We could walk out the door and go for hikes or we could walk 1-3 minutes to a long sandy beach with restaurants. Salema has a very nice relaxed vibe and we would definitely come back. Casa Da Paz worked well as a base for day trips to Sagres, Lagos, etc. Our hosts were very nice and made us feel very welcome.

I loved this little relaxing fishing village!

I loved this little relaxing fishing village! The locals were soo friendly and nice I especially loved all the beautiful food in the gorgeous restaurants!! The quaint little cocktail bar run by Sean and his wife was the best Chatting with locals and some people who had moved from other countries to settle their was.so interesting! I will definitely be back next year!

This is one of the few locations we visited that tourism did...

This is one of the few locations we visited that tourism did not over run the location. The beach was spacious and free of commercialism. There were very good restaurants in the small town. The town is very hilly so you must be able to climb up from the beach. There are gated condos in the area but they are set back from the village and thus do not dominate the location. Parking is plentiful and free so people who are disorientated after a long travel will find the location easy to get around. There is a large hypermarche store located in the town of Budens which is a 10 minute drive from Salema town center so you can get many specialty items if the local grocery is not sufficient to your needs. The scenery is spectacular especially at sunset from the cliffs lining the beach. I recall reading a tourist book that claimed that Salema was one of the few towns in the Algarve that resembles what the region looked like before the wave of tourism came. I would heartily agree.

We were pleasantly surprised with the amount of good...

We were pleasantly surprised with the amount of good restaurants. The beach was large and clean. It’s very easy to walk the whole town albeit there are some steep hills. The people were very friendly. We enjoyed hiking to the more remote beaches. We will highly recommend it to our friends.

Salema eco camp is a wonderful place with people of lots of nationalities enjoying the lovely peaceful surroundings. It is in wooded valley with lots of trees providing shade. The restaurant and shop are great and all the staff were encountered were realiy friendly and helpful. We stayed in a lodge which was very comfortable and well equipped. It is about a 20 min walk to the beach but the camp provides a free minibus there and back. Would love to come back!

We had a balcony view of the harbour area which was excellent. There was limited parking but was always available when we were there which was not a busy time….October. Room was very clean and had everything we needed. Salema is very close to a lot of area attractions like Sagres and the beaches on the Atlantic! These places were amazing to visit from Salema. We also had probably one of our best meals of our Portugal trip in Salema at ‘Em Lume Brando.

Great location, spaciuos villas with all the required ammenities, airport transfer provided, very helpful staff willing to drive and pick you up from the beach when needed. The houses with sea view really have an amazing balcony view to the ocean and the beach. The village is amazing, chill beaches with longe chairs, delicious restaurants and sufficient supermarkets.

Highly recommended. Atmospheric house, with a beautiful view of the ocean, very well equipped. Peace and quiet, close to a beautiful beach, but also to walking trails. Very helpful and really nice owners. Salema charmed us. It is a place without crowds of tourists and street stalls. It offers everything you need to relax.

Location was great - super central if not very private. I would have sheer blinds on the bedroom windows ideally as you feel a little exposed once the shutters are open. 2 mins walk to all restaurants, bars, beach etc.
