The place is amazing. We travel off season and the staff was extremely nice to upgrade our reservation for a large room with balcony and view on the sea. It was absolutely fabulous and we are extremely thankfull to them. All the staff (reception, bar at fire place, restaurant and cleaning personal) is super competent and friendly. The breakfast/brunch is fabulous. There is very nice easy walk starting next to the hotel door. Sagres beach is less than 10 min walking along the cliff.

While Vila do Bispo might be a bit boring at first.

While Vila do Bispo might be a bit boring at first. But you can use it to explore the surrounding countryside and beaches. Within one day you can see more rual locations, small forests in the hills and spectacular coastlines... Also more touristic cities are nearby. So you can have it all - the quiet and more peaceful base in Vila do Bispo, while still everything is in reach by bus or car... or even by foot. There are quite some nice walking tracks around the city. Enough to do for 3,4 or more days

I walked from Pedralva to Vila do Bispo -- about 8 miles.

I walked from Pedralva to Vila do Bispo -- about 8 miles. A nice in-land walk with a few steep hills, and no provisions (stores, cafe's, etc.,) along the way. Vila do Bispo is a nice little town with a number of very good restaurants, and even an Aldi's. There is a very good Vamus bus connection to Lagos which I used.

Great place to stay. Nice restaurants around. A lot of nice beaches and activities could be found around. A little windy, just about right - not too cold, not too hot. It would be best if you travel by car.

Short walk and you have all you need for a one week stay, using Vila do Bispo to explore the impressive south western region of Portugal, especially Ingenia beach. We luved Eugenia at Restaurant Convivio, the fresh foods market and incredible range at Lidl supermarket. Evening village strolls and joining a local party at the local cultural hall, completed a memorable stay

Such an amazing village and atmosphere - very authentic! Great story behind it! We checked in late after a long day so didnt get chance to have dinner but breakfast was amazing. House was lovely, easily the coolest place we staying on our portugal tour! Team couldnt do enough! Will definitely recommend and hopefully be back one day

Great location in the middle of sleepy Vila do Bispo. Easy walking distance to several excellent beaches. Airy and comfy rooms and an open kitchen for free use whenever you feel like it. Staff (Vanessa) were very helpful and quick to offer support and recommendations whenever asked. Morning breakfast was perfect.

Breakfast was very nice and fresh. Hotel is located in a small, quite town, with some really good restorants nearby and the wonderfull beaches. Very fresh, modern and natural interior, it was very pleasant to see the owners interest to keep the guests feel like home!
