Avoid this apartment.

Avoid this apartment. In reality it looks like an abandoned and heavily improvised accommodation, not operational during the winter season although available on Booking. Had to cancel it on a short notice but the owners were not eager to find the compromise and had to pay the full price. Lesson learned from my side. Never ever there.

We stayed at Pensiunea Alex for two nights. The check in went smooth, the room was big enough (had also a balcony) and the bed was comfortable. We had a very good experience and will book it again when travelling to Cheia. Also, they were very kind to help me recover my lighter (which has a special meaning for me) after I forgot it there. They have sent it via a courier. Super nice of them!

The place is located perfectly for hikes starting from Cheia, 2 min from the forest and with great views. It is family owned and run and very welcoming. Breakfast was simple but great, plus we were accommodated for no meat options.

As Cheia is quite a small holiday village, the location of Pensiunea Alex is very good. I appreciated the mattress and the fridge in the room. All you need for a short stay.
