This hotel was recently remodeled, and all facilities are modern. Our room was on the riverfront with a balcony of a good size. The room was spacious and equipped with everything needed, minus a coffee machine.AC works well, and despite street traffic, the room was quiet. I requested hot water for tea, and Vasilica at the front desk gave me a brand-new electric kettle to use in the room. Breakfast is served at a table and is enough to feel you. The location is excellent; it is close to the center and the road to the monastery. They have a pool which is very clean and private. Great hotel!

One of the best accomodation you can find in Romania. ❤️ Even in January, the scenery is simply amazing. Heating comes from AC and an electric heater and it's perfect. Actually, you'll need to chill the cabin, it's very well thermally insulated. You have hot water even at the outdoor sink. Good WIFI.

Nicely located hotel with amazing view of the Danube river bay and surrounding hills. New clean air-conditioning room with nice view on the river and hills. Our room had independent entrance and comfortable beds. Supportive and responsive staff, we had big delay due to huge queues on the Romanian border, so we arrived late at night. However the hostess was there to check-in us (as we agreed before by the call). Breakfast was in the nice hotel cafe on the ground floor. The breakfast itself was on the usual level we expected from hotels of the same level. All expected set of products and usual continental breakfast dishes were present there and had a good quality.

A peaceful gem along the Danube. Stunning landscapes, top hiking nearby. Great town for walking. Good cafes, workable restaurants. Has mainstream grocery stores and even a good quality gym. Prices are low for a westerner, even compared with larger cities in Romania. Would easily visit again

I recommend hiking the "Ciucarul Mare" track and doing a bicycle tour along the Danube river, starting in the village of Eselnita and cover the most spectaculous part by going (at least) as far as Dubova.

The only thing to be seen in this city is the lake, and a boat trip on the Danube. There is nothing else to do in the city, no activities, no bars, many restaurants were closed, the buildings are old and not renovated with a great lack of facilities. The view of the city is sad.

Great view of the Danube.

Great view of the Danube. Endless possibilities of boat tours on the lake with lot to see. Beautiful park in the town center. Beautiful monasteries near by (St. Anna and Vodite). Short ride away from Drobeta Turnu Severin on one side and Baile Herculane on the other with a lot more amazing places to see. Just a perfect place for rest from the city rowd.

It is a nice city along the Danube, excellent starting point for boat trips. The city is nice and quiet, and all good things are near the center. Great to the take long evening walks on the promenade, but prepare for it with some mosquito repellent.

Orsova itself doesn't provide touristic attractions but there are some interesting places to visit in the area like Cazanele Dunarii, hiking trips in the nearby mountains and Portile de Fier hydropower plant museum.

Have all the needed amenities and also spacious rooms. 3 minutes walk from Orșova promenade and 5 -10 minutes from departure points of Danube boats, which i highly recommend it. Don't be put back by inside block details,the apartment is very well maintained and you can see it. 2 bathrooms makes a difference when the company is more than 2 persons and i will give it a big +.

The Pension sits right on the edge of the Danube, you cannot get a better view. Restaurant is right beneath the rooms and menu has pictures if you don't speak Romanian. Orsova has cash machines, supermarkets etc. so a good place to base yourself.

The hotel is brand new. Very clean, the location is very nice. Room was very spacious, restaurant bar was also quite good. We only had one night stop but the city is worth to visit with Danube attractions.
