Brastad is a rather dull and disappointing place.

Brastad is a rather dull and disappointing place. It has a filling station, two supermarkets and a very good bakery cum little cafe, but no proper restaurants apart from greasy take-aways that also offer tables, and no attractions whatsoever. We were quite surprised about is as the coastline has very scenic little harbours and the countryside is dotted with charming farms.

Brastad is the nearest village of this agricultural...

Brastad is the nearest village of this agricultural landscape. You will find two grocery stores there, both convenient for buying basic stuff, and a couple of pizzerias. The nearby town of Lysekil is a much more exciting choice. A bus or a car will take you there in a few minutes.

Arrived at around 9 pm by bicycle. There had just been a concert on the lawn outside the hotel. Guests from the local village were just leaving on foot and on bicycles. There is a large conservatory style breakfast room, with seating outside this on a balcony, and then steps down to the lawn (where people had been sitting watching the concert). I bought a beer at the bar and sat out on the grass while other guests were relaxing on the steps. The whole atmosphere was idyllic.

Everything. The Wow Factor, the spa, the attention to details, quietness, beauty, the gym, eating options with both bar lounge and fancy restaurant, the quality of the food offering. The Location. We came for the global series in Stockholm, and booking the Vann Hotel brought us off road which was amazing, brought us to discover beautiful fall landscapes in both Sweden and Norway.

A lovely stay in a quirky farmstead. There was a cabin which had a lovely view. The bathroom facilities were in the main building which were more than adequate. The breakfast was great. It was a lovely stay and so refreshing not to be in a hotel chain room. The owners of the property were delightful. Very kind and helpful.

Nice and relaxing environment, beautiful view from most windows and terraces! The spa and hotel had cleaver ways to divide a room to make it feel like you were separated from other guests in a calm and quiet way.

Nice spa hotel quietly located, rather perfect spot to stay during two rainy, foggy days. The pools were nice and it was not too crowded. Kids happy with the pool tables and fussball in the lounge area.
