AustraliaHotel Erb is excellent place to stay for a night or two. Everything was superb, everything felt very new and unused. The room was large, clean and quiet. Breakfast was amazing, attention to detail everything was fresh, staff attentive and very nice.
Banska Stiavnica is cool little town. I took my Aussie husband there for a visit.
Their wellness if fantastic, 4 saunas, pool and heated resting area. We had the whole wellness to ourselves and it was great.
They also offer flavoured water and snack in wellness, which was nice little extra touch.

Amazing-the beautiful centre of Banskà Štiavnica and beautiful lakes surrounding it. Everything is within walking distance. The ice cream is a well needed refreshment. Make sure you check the accommodation 'U vodohospodárov' when you are looking where to stay. The best restaurant is Svätà Barborka with their delicious daily menu choices. The personnel is most accommodating and always cheerful. An awesome experience

History of this beautifull Slovak miners city is heart...
History of this beautifull Slovak miners city is heart breathing, museums, caves, castles, trip to Sitno mountain or swimming in the Pocuvadlo tajch. This city never let you down. Social life highly recommend the Ruin Bar.

Banska Stiavnica is a beautiful city. There is much to do but we really just loved the atmosphere of the city. Our favourite was the cafes and the super restaurants so we could just relax and be together.

Banska Stiavnica is a UNESCO-protected medieval town with a long history in mining. Apart from being a compact enjoyable town to walk around, there is plenty on the topic of mining to learn about. The tourist map describes different walks to explore it. There are various museums and the possibility to visit a mine. I visited the Kammerhof museum with a wonderful audio guide. Beyond the mining history, one could visit galleries, the cavalry as well as the nativity scene. One could relax on the tajchs. Unfortunately, the love bank, an exhibition exploring world‘s longest love poem Marina, burned down in 2023 but it is planned to re-open in 2026.

Very charming city, it was like a fairy tale.
Very charming city, it was like a fairy tale. Excellent arcitecture and a medieval ambience.
Very quiet, with lots to see and do. Especially the mining museum the two castles and the lakes around town.
It is built on a hill so be prepared for a tiring walk around

Excellent location in the heart of Banska Stiavnica, just a step away from all the local attractions. The host was very friendly - we had some issues with receiving the check-in instructions through the booking.com app. She reached out proactively and shared them separately to make sure we were all set for the check-in. She helped us find parking and offered suggestions for place to eat. The place is brand new, beautifully furnished and very clean. We also asked for a baby crib on top of the booking which was arranged free of charge.

A very unique place. I hope the owners never give up. Luxury means living in a very old building, a garden close by where you can sit, a well equipped kitchen also suitable for groups, situated in the center of the old town next to the old castle.
Banska Stiavnica is very beautiful. There are also lakes not far away where you can swim. I regret I didn't stay for longer.

Everything. The host was super nice, responsive, apartment was beautiful and cozy, clean (had Soda Stream which I love!), lovated in the centre od Banska Stiavnica, I will definitely come back next time!
