It is a small town located at the foot of beautiful hills.
It is a small town located at the foot of beautiful hills. In town you find anything you need, shops, restaurants, etc. but the ski slopes are also accessible easily from here either by walking or by the free shuttle. There are different slopes for any experience level, they are well maintained and served by many lifts. Prefect for a ski holiday and I guess it is nice for a summer holiday, too.

A have visited the place many years ago. For me was surprice how much the area developed on a positiv manner. Of course in pick houres could have been extra help one more confy lift to make easier the way up to hill. Restaurants are around. Stodola was very friendly, good food and english communication. Other places could not answere english or german.

Dóval is a great village for families. We did the following:

- Slided with bob from the hill
- Travelled up and down to the mountain with Lanovka
- Visit the Mini city
- Rented electric bicycles and travelled to the mountains
- Visit the MaraFun lake where we could have lots of fun (e.g. jetski)
- Walked up to the maintains
- Were watching the paragliders
etc.

Lovely hotel in beautiful location.
Lovely hotel in beautiful location. Short distance to the ski slopes.
Pet friendly.
Clean, very well equipped rooms & really nice & helpful staff.
Would recommend to anyone.
Definitely will stay there again if will be in the area.

A very small ski area.
A very small ski area. Perfect for beginners, but more advanced skiers can easily get bored.
The main issue is that the blue & red slopes are separated by the main road, with a good 15 min walk between them. You kinda have to decide where you spend your day.

It's a little paradise for families with kids and beginners...
It's a little paradise for families with kids and beginners on ski.
Great ski schools for the little ones, enough places to rent your equipment and nice bar/bistro at the mountain, in case you are there just to enjoy the view.
The prices are very fair as well, and the fact that some parts you can walk up and down (some places are totally accessible by foot), also make it easy on your pocket, unless you are really skiing you still can have some fun without having to pay for tickets.
We ate at bistro in the mountain, had lovely hot wine with the mountains view very nice.
In the village we at Donny and at Stodola, love it. Highly recommend the pork knee.

We arrived for a skitour to Donovaly for a few days. If the best apartman exist, it would be this.
Eventhough, I can't highlight any part, because of the apartman itself is 10 point, I would like to call attention to the kitchen. It is really well equipped, you can find everything what you need, if you would make your meals by yourself.
The experience is like at home. Highly recommended!

The apartment is nice, well-kept and well equipped. There is everything you need for a pleasant stay, kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedrooms are well equipped. The location is right next to the slopes of Donovaly, access to skiing is effortless, the center of the town is also nearby, a small supermarket and a few restaurants are withing walking distance.

As a family 2+2, we visited Donovaly for skiing for 1 week stay. We recommend the Apartman Moderna which is a very comfortable base for skiing. The apartment has a fantastic view of mountains, private underground garage and modern household appliances.

The single beds were exponentially small, the facilities like sauna were payed only service per hour which some hotels provide for free while also being a four star hotel
