HungaryFor those starting a hike, it's in a very good location, with one of the train stations of the railway connecting the towns of the High Tatras two minutes away, and two hiking trails essentially starting next to the hotel. The hotel building is old and very beautiful, and our room was pleasant. The accommodation included breakfast and dinner, the breakfast was great, varied, and met all needs.

A very beautiful part of Slovakia, a perfect place to visit...
A very beautiful part of Slovakia, a perfect place to visit and explore if you like mountains, lakes, mountain huts, sports, including climbing, walking, and cycling, wildlife and being outdoors. The Aqua city water complex in Poprad Tatry is a perfect place to swim especially with children. The electric railway line is a perfect way to travel around the area.

These mountains are spectacular, so many hiking options and great views everywhere! The Horská Chata pod Soliskomat is a great place to visit for good Slovak food and drinks! Only difficult thing is that you really have to pay to park at the bottom to walk around, you can't drive anywhere, just a tip though.

The place is just beautifull, mountains are greal I love it...
The place is just beautifull, mountains are greal I love it in different time of the year. Transport is great however if you are paying for cable cars it can get expensive but simillary you will pay the price in different countries. If skying it is worth booking the passes in advance as it saves a lot of money.

My 3rd time in High Tatra' and decided to stay for a month...
My 3rd time in High Tatra' and decided to stay for a month this time and loving it! Too many peeks to climb 😉. Very well marked trails with beautiful nature. Plenty of high peeks to climb although for some certified guide is required. And don't be fooled that the highest peeks are not as high as in the alps...it is very hard work and training is required to be able to climb them. Definitely a contender to Alps

Beautiful area especially in early June (15-30) when it's not overrun by tourists. Great for families and larger groups with many activities for each generation. Recommended visits: spa treatment at the Grand Hotels at Kempinski, Grand Hotel, and Hotel Lominca; hiking or taking a cable car to the 'plesa'--mountain lakes.

If you are into challenging hiking this is the place to be.
If you are into challenging hiking this is the place to be. There is skiing in winter, but we were there in summer and loved it. Be prepared for the language barrier: English is not much understood, probably better if you speak German. Luckily staff at the cableways and important tourist sites do speak English.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The room was very spacious, and the location was excellent. Everything was clean, and we were very satisfied with our stay. The kitchen had everything we needed and was perfectly adequate. We would happily stay here again.

Great location for hiking from Strbske Pleso, and based in a nice small town with a basic shop. Small hostel with 2 dorms means you get to know people quickly. Power outlet, shelf and lamp in every bed make life easier.
