Decent beach with all options such as long chairs or free space to lay down. Outstanding for Bangkokians, as the excellent road network takes just an hour drive from Bang Na.
Favourite place : Laem Thaen and the small eateries along the promenade with gorgeous view of the bay and great Thai food.
Getting around there is easy, just walking can get you a long way hopping from one cafe to the night market, or spotting a quiet palm tree for a short rest on the sand, it's real fun even for not so young couples.

If you are there for a swim, pick the right time of the year for clear water. But overall, it is quite good considering the distance from Bangkok.
There are a lot of local visitors, so the price is right!
60 Baht boat trip to Koh Si Chan from Siri Racha is a good day trip.

The palm trees offer plenty of shade for a comfortable day at the beach. Plenty of sun loungers for rent and lots of fresh food stalls. Also the boulevard has several toilet stations. The sea and the beach however are heavily polluted. Such a shame.

I've lived in Thailand now for 1.5 years and this was easily the worst 'vacation' experience yet, including 3 months here as a tourist in 2023. It's almost as if Bang Saen is anti-farang, maybe because Pattaya is only an hour south? It was as though I was an alien wandering a foreign land -- caught numerous people pointing me out to their friends as though they've never seen a white person before. The beach is so terrible that I hesitate to call it 'a beach'. Trash everywhere, water literally unswimmable due to logs, metal poles, and general debris. All the restaurants are also music clubs and everyone is confused and somewhat dismissive of farang -- can't get a drink, can't get anyone's attention. Once again, maybe the thought is that all farang belong in Pattaya or something and they want to keep Bang Saen only for the locals. Regardless, it was a complete waste of 2 days of holiday. And just to crown it all off, my 09:40 bus never came. Of course there was no apology or explanation, just a new ticket for the next bus back to Bangkok in an hour. It was all just a total waste of time, money, days off, and left me feeling like I need a 'real holiday' as soon as possible. 0/5

I love Bangsaen nowaday.
I love Bangsaen nowaday. It is located close to Bangkok easy to commute and has everthing. I love all the beach clubs, restaurants, cafe and the beach. Many new places like Japaness town and fish market decorated in Japaness style. It is hip and trendy.

Bangsaen beach is now renovated and better organized. Less high buildings, travelers can enjoy the beach walk with good seafood and many great coffee shops at a reasonable price. this place is considered as a good choice for a short trip and is not far from Bangkok.

Great hotel in a very relaxed neighbourhood (near the University) with a lot of great tasting and cheap food options. Good size rooms. Great value for money. 10 minute walk to the beach. Many 7-elevens within 5 minute walk.

Comfortable bed. Large room. Swimming pool. Close to beach. Reception staff and concierge polite and respectful. Lovely view of the beach from balcony on the 4th floor. Pleasant stay.

Overall the hotel was good. The area was not touristy, low rise buildings and the beach literally across the road. Lots of shops, restaurants and supermarkets.
