Nice rooms, good location if you plan to go to Koh Surin since it’s near the Pier but the best was how welcoming, nice and friendly were the owners. They were also giving us great recommendations, they booked for us the snorkeling tour to Koh Surin and were always available to help during our stay. I spend more than 70 nights abroad each year and I never had such lovely owners/staff. They make the experience to the next level!!

It was very close to the nice not so touristy beach. I liked that there was lot of greenery, peaceful place. The owner is sweet lady who can cook for you if you prefer to eat there. I liked also hammock on roof, to watch the Moon :) If you enjoy hammock time, take yours with you as there are some places to hang it to have relaxed time outside. Nice massage places on the beach!

Our stay at the Marriott Beach Resort & Spa in Khao Lak was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Everything exceeded our expectations and made for a truly unforgettable holiday. The breakfast was exceptional—incredibly varied, high-quality, and beautifully presented, with options for every taste, both Western and Asian. All of the resort’s restaurants are excellent, offering consistently delicious food and a great dining experience. The staff truly deserve special recognition. Everyone was friendly and professional, but Bob and his team at the reception desk stood out for their outstanding service. They were extremely helpful, attentive, and genuinely customer-focused, always ready to assist with a smile. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, providing everything you would expect from a top-tier Marriott resort. Relaxing by the Quiet Pool was wonderfully peaceful, perfect for unwinding. The beach is breathtakingly beautiful—pristine, expansive, and ideal for enjoying stunning sunsets. The surrounding area also offers some great dining options. There are several excellent local restaurants nearby, with Blue Sky being a definite must-visit. In short, this resort offers the perfect combination of luxury, comfort, and relaxation. We would highly recommend it and would love to return in the future!

This is my second visit to Avani + Khao Lak two years in a row. This is now my therapeutic retreat for me and my family. My kids are so in love with the place especially the kids club. I was so happy to see that most of the staff that I met last year are still at the resort and working tirelessly to keep up with all their guests’ requests. Please keep up this great work you’re all doing and I’ happy this year I was lucky to enjoy a less rainy weather and swam at the beach most of my stay.

A hidden gem! Bungalow was super clean, modern bathroom, high end bedding and towels. Excellent restaurant with lots of menu choices. Outstanding staff. Gorgeous beach. Very remote so other than booking a tour there isn’t much to do at the property or the neighborhood except RELAX. Would go again in a flash.
