The resort is super clean and close to Wat Muang. Ms Ja and the family made my stay unforgettable. She picked me from the bus station ( I got the wrong one 😭) . They welcome me just like a family member,always check if I need anything . If you plan to visit Wat Muang, highly recommend you spend a night here. Enjoy the sunrise,rice field view and stay with this superb kind family.

In Ang Thong province is my favorite small temple 'Wat Khian...

In Ang Thong province is my favorite small temple 'Wat Khian'(in nearby sub-district San Chao Rong Thong, near Wat Wiset Chai Chan). It has beautiful (although much damaged) murals dating back to the Ayutthaya period. Unfortunately the small ordination hall appears dilapidated and the outside area is not kept clean from the many bird droppings. Wiset Chai Chan Old Market (San Chao Rong Thong Market), the 100-year old local market, and the quiet area around it, is also nice to visit . The local restaurant "Saeng Duean" (ร้านข้าวต้มแสงเดือน), which was quite close to our Wiset Sabai Resort, is a pleasant place for having a tasty Thai dinner. Good service, good food, local price. We had our own car. For going around within Ang Thong province (and in the rest of Thailand), having one's own transportation makes life much easier. Ang Thong is a pleasant province where we have hardly encountered any foreign tourist. Being interested in cultural, historical Thailand, but without having specific "in depth" knowledge about such matters, we found the visited temples in Ang Thong less interesting compared to many temples elsewhere in Thailand. Some VERY big sized Buddha statutes are clearly popular. Only if one happens to be in the neighborhood it's worth making a brief stop at the Ekkarat Drum-Making Village, and Ban Bang Sadet Royal Court Dolls.
