Look. I don't want to brag, but we have just spent 7 weeks in SE Asia. During that time we stayed in all manner of places, some good, some not so good. We booked this last minute, without much planning, pretty much because it was the only one in the area. My god, what a treat!! Stunning room, lovely setting, beautiful scenery and brilliant staff! We were made to feel really comfortable and at home right from the start and the food is absolutely incredible - made to order! Breakfast lived up to dinner and we left wishing we could have stayed a few more nights! Unbelievable value and a really memorable experience, top marks, one of the best!!

Perfect place. The view from room is amazing, you can even see the smoke in the mountains early in the morning. The room has good wifi and even it has a Netflix account, clean and everything in the room is new and the bed is very comfortable. The staff are very nice and helpful. The food is delicious and cheap.

The room was clean and comfortable. The property was beautiful and the hosts were always working hard to keep it so nice. The hosts were really kind and had both bicycles and a motorbike to rent us. The value was really good, we were really excited our tight budget could allow us to stay in the countryside. We were really grateful for the bottled water given to us daily! Something to keep in mind, there is a key deposit for 300b. We didn’t go to the atm before arriving so keep some extra cash on you for the deposit.

The location is the village of Cho Lae, which is a small village of mainly a couple wide streets and many small sois. The town center of sorts is literally 40 meters from the homestay, and at 6am in the morning there's the early market. That market supports the mostly farming community that eats early and heads to the farms. I got up early and was welcomed with open arms. Had a coffee and tea in my hands within 120 seconds of leaving my homestay, and was warmly welcomed by the unofficial mayor who said if I needed anything to make my visit to Cho lae better, just ask anyone in the village and they will help. Down the street to the main street is a Pizza place that's open in the evening and was delicious. The homestay was extra clean, good water pressure, AirConditioned, and had parking.

The whole atmosphere, this place is truly special and the people are amazing. For our vegetarian request, they surprised us very much and we got much more then we asked for 😍
