I had a really pleasant stay here. Before booking I was a bit hesitant because I read many reviews mentioning cleanliness issues and poor value for money, especially since the place is on the expensive side. But my experience was completely positive. The staff were extremely helpful—anything I needed, they arranged immediately. The food was nice too, though the options were limited. The room was well equipped with everything from heaters, hair dryer, extension box, speakers, kettle, even a mosquito bat. I was especially surprised to see bathroom slippers in two sizes, including a smaller one that actually fit me—something I’ve never seen in most hotels. The stay itself was peaceful, surrounded by nature with the constant sound of a running water stream. If you want a remote and quiet experience, this is perfect. It is a bit pricey, but considering the place and the service, I’m satisfied and happy with my stay.

A truly peaceful hotel nestled in the middle of the mountains, with absolutely spectacular views. The rooms are insanely beautiful, cozy, and offer an amazing view. The food is very good, and the coffee is hands down the best I’ve ever had. The staff are incredibly kind, always smiling, and very helpful. They assisted us with booking taxis and anything else we needed, which made our stay completely stress-free. It’s the perfect place to relax and slow down. We started our trip with two nights here, and it was the best decision, exactly what we needed to rest and recharge after a long flight. Highly recommended.

The environment around the rooms is beautiful and peaceful. Staff were beyond lovely and helpful when I needed advice. And a very affordable Van back to Chiang Mai. Breakfast was delicious.

Beautiful property in a secluded nature area surrounded by coffee, farms and mountains. The sound of water was beautiful from the deck area the place across the street does HTV tours of the area which was one of the best things we did on our entire trip. there is one of the world‘s longest zip lines about 30 minutes away. The property is beautiful and well maintained. These are basically high-end jungle cabins with some modern amenities. The area is very secluded, but if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle and sit out in nature overlooking a creek and enjoying your coffee or reading with jungle background noise noises, this is a great place. There are a few small restaurants and cafés along the main road, but other than that, it is extremely secluded.

On the river, beautiful! Grounds very well kept. Peaceful with the sound of running water, not often found. Aon (owner) was amazing. Went over and above to assist us where possible. Due to our circumstances we had to change rooms and the black river room was perfect. Bed, pillows, sheets, shower, bathroom, size of room really great. The River is opposite taxi stand so really convenient The breakfast was a combination of western eggs and salad, croissants and the thai rice porridge. Yumbolio. We enjoyed the dinner which was more than ample. All the staff very attentive. Thank you everyone at The River. Highly recommend.
