IndonesiaRelatively new hotel. Clean spacious room. I like that they have room slippers (new in a plastic). Very comfortable bed! Elevator is available. Location is close to kim yong market and lee garden market. Quiet place to stay. Parking lot is limited, but enough for my sedan car. It was not full when I arrived, so I could park my car in their basement parking lot.

The world is sleeping on Hat Yai.
The world is sleeping on Hat Yai. The cross roads of Thai and Malaysian, Buddhist and Muslim culture. The best assortment of A-1 grade tropical fruit at the daily morning market- maybe the best in the WORLD during this season (July). If you're a tropical fruit fan, you must make this hold pilgrimage. Pineapple, mangosteen, durian, bananas, mangos, pink guava, coconuts, etc. etc. All the best versions you'll ever have.
The downtown was very walkable, not just for South East Asia, but by international standards. Traffic was mellow and drivers thoughtful of pedestrians. The best fried chicken ("Gai Tod") in the world- come find out. Value for money is outstanding compared to well trod tourist destinations elsewhere in Thailand.

In January 2026 the town is still recovering from the floods late last year. The water damage can be seen (and smelled) everywhere. More than half of the places Google Maps claims to be open are in fact not. Some are temporarily closed, others will never open their doors again.
Whether it is due to the above or the proximity to Malaysia, I found the Hat Yai people to be less friendly than the average Thai person I have come across during my 90 days of travel throughout the country.

Easy transportation with tuktuk.
Central Hatyai was great. Asian night market was not as much good items as before...was a bit let down...
We are a group of senior citizens, so we didn't travel much, we just enjoyed the food and shopping.

I used to come to Hadyai 3x a year.
I used to come to Hadyai 3x a year. It's o lovely place to go round till songkla and other places. The Grab car is very nice n all the drivers are good to us. I will be coming again next year 2026. In Sya Allah

I am considering retirement in HY and this first stay was a real help to decide. I really like HY. There is so much I haven't seen on this trip but I will return in a couple of months.
BOLT is a great way to get around, average journey price 55 baht (april 2025) BOLT drivers are amazing, you can have a car turn up in 2 minutes and be on your way.
The selection of food in HY is off the scale. I have not met one person who was unkind or rude.
I have had a couple of bad experiences in cafes with cold food or slow service but nothing to put me off returning to this city.

Lots of places to visit and reasonable rates. Great choices for food with delicious, fresh street food to great restaurants - choices to fit different budgets. Great for family vacation as it is more than just a place to shop. With the hot and humid weather, best to dress with light clothing. You can negotiate for day rates with various drivers and this will make it easier for your going to different places around Hatyai.

The hotel was situated at a quiet area, but it was still near the Central Hat Yai shopping centre and Asean Night Bazaar

The room was very clean and there was no unpleasant smell in the room. Staff were very friendly and patient. Location is very near Lee Garden. Very convenient for tourists especially when there are always tuk-tuks on standby outside the hotel.
