I loved everything, the location is good, the building has a nice vibe, staff are nice specially Mr Anawatch. They provided us with a map of the island and explained everything and helped to arrange a motorbike rental.

I recommend a visit to the clear-blue-water beaches on the West side of the island (not the pier side which is quite industrial and dirty). It is a popular destination among local tourists, so you won't find many Western tourists. It is a truly immersive experience into the Thai culture.

I have been on a few islands near(ish) to Bangkok and really don’t recommend Koh Si Chang to international travellers. Majority of the places do not have an English menu and majority barely speak any English. It’s a very ‘real’ town and very near the port, so the beach isn’t great. There are rubbish everywhere as it is a very ‘real’ town and not for tourist. For example you won’t be able to buy anything remotely touristy (like a fridge magnet haha) on the island. In terms of the size, you can tour the whole island in a few hours. We stayed at De’ Anchor, an amazing resort and honestly is the best place and best thing about this island, and also why we came, because we wanted a relaxing holiday.

It’s really the best place on an island that keeps you distracted from destruction and trash all over the island. The staff is amazing, extremely helpful and friendly! The pool is nice. During Christmas time they put beautiful lights around. Breakfast is also good. During 4 nights stay we ate mostly at the restaurant in the hotel. And I’m happy we changed 7 nights stay to 4 nights cause except of the hotel and a couple of places that you can visit by bike within a few hours, there is not much to do at the island.

Hotel is very modern, rooms are spacious and decorated well with good facilities. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to / from the ferry if you phone and let them know you’re coming. They also have mopeds to rent or will arrange a Skylap for an island tour (both 300 baht). Pool was nice, although they only have four sun loungers.

Never before have i visited sutch a wonderful host. easigoing,calm and still he will do anything in his power to make you feel good. he was actually sad that i didnt understood/reacted on message. to pick me up for free from the ferry. they also have a restaurant with super good food. wich you can get delivered to the hotel. both places made me feel almost at home.

Good location. Clean room. Good assistence in getting to and from the hotel with saleng pickup service. Helpful in arranging a tuktuk or motobike. The 2 rooms at the front have a nice balcony overlooking the street. The hotel has 2 locations, we stayed at the better location, close to the main street leading to the pier.

we paid extra and checked into a neighboring hotel with the same hotel manager, called the "ISLANDISH HOME" (1600 baht per day). We were very happy and satisfied! The staff speaks very good English and is always ready to help and answer! It really feels like home!
