Friendly and helpful staff.
The bamboo huts are simple yet have everything that you need incl. warm water in the shower if needed. Also every hut has a covered sitting area which is great when it rains.
Breakfast was nice as well though heavy on carbs/sugars: mango sticky rice, fresh fruits and toast with jam - for vegetarians and omnivores there are even more options.

They brought us breakfast in the mornings, gave us lifts to and from Laem Had Beach, and brought us coconuts on our last day! They are so very kind and made our stay so wonderful. The best hotel I have ever been to.
The best hotel I have ever been to. The views are absolutely breathtaking, the location is stunning, and the surrounding nature is simply incredible. Everything about this place was perfect, from the peaceful atmosphere to the beautiful scenery. It was truly an unforgettable experience, and I can't recommend it highly enough!

I stayed in a one-bedroom sea view pool villa and found it exceptional overall. The sea views are truly stunning, and the outdoor shower adds a wonderful touch. Breakfast was excellent, and the poolside restaurant offers great service with happy hour drinks. The atmosphere is genuinely family-friendly, quiet, and relaxed, perfect for unwinding. Fresh fruits from the grounds were a lovely welcome touch. My main frustration was the unexpected shuttle charges from the pier, which should really be included given it's your only way to arrive. The outdoor shower and bath also needed cleaning upon arrival, and the room could have been cleaner before check-in. Despite these issues, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would return.

It’s a very quiet island, ideal for those who prefer avoiding crowds, though it might feel a bit too low-key for some. The main downside is that attractions are far apart, and the roads are poorly lit and desserted after dark.

Ko Yao Yai left a very peaceful and authentic impression. The island is lush and green, quiet, and pleasantly removed from mass tourism, creating a truly relaxing atmosphere. Life there seems to move at its own gentle pace, which makes the place feel special.
Unfortunately, our stay was quite short, so we didn’t have the chance to explore the island in depth. Even so, it left the impression of being a place worth returning to and spending more time discovering.
I would recommend it to anyone looking for a calmer and more authentic Thai island experience.

The island is small but I loved it.
I will say if you visit Phuket, Ko Yao Yai is a must for these reasons:
1. Cheaper than Phuket, meaning you can get really luxurious hotel deals at a better rate. But most importantly, you get to book the same island trips (Phi Phi island, Ko Hong Island, James bond island etc), cheaper massage and yoga sessions that are more local.
2. Its calmer and gives you a better experience of what thailand is about.
2 days is enough.

Lovely island great beach, superb paved roads. Lots of lovely restaurants shops and bars but notcrowded with tourists. Great bikes either way sidecars to hire. The taxi and trips are a little on the high side. But overall superb

Absolutely everything here was amazing, 10/10! We wanted to go to the islands in Thailand and first thought of Phi Phi, but we weren’t really looking to party. We wanted to relax and enjoy a beautiful beach and island. This is exactly what we got at Santhiya. The resort is huge, and offers transport by trucks to get around from your room, to breakfast, to the beach. The staff is friendly and very attentive. No matter which room you book, every single one is beautiful and you can’t go wrong. Highly recommend!

The room was beautiful with the most comfortable bed we had in Thailand, the bathroom had big jacuzzi. The swimming pools is amazing right in front of the ocean and most important, the staff was super helpful and nice helped us with everything we needed.
The resort is located at the best location of the island, isolated but has some restaurants and supermarket nearby.
The best value for money!! We will defenetly come back.
