Fairly easy streets.
Fairly easy streets. We visited one street in downtown where we enjoyed a great lunch at Kalavera restaurant. And purchased a variety of teas in a really cute shop. This was the highlight of our visit.
The area were we stayed was looking a bit run down. Many homeless roam the streets; sad to see. We ventured on a road that took us further into a very cute area and much cleaner neighborhood.
There’s not much to do here. You have to travel further north to San Diego for things to do. Unless going to Tijuana is in your bucket list. We were told you could take the train there (the train is close to the hotel)

I thought Chula Vista was a wonderful city with lots of amenities. We were near-enough to the North Island Amphitheatre--(too bad the Rod Stewart Concert was cancelled) and beaches, but it was a bit hot for us, so we didn't do much.

Chula Vista is a peaceful environment for athletes competing at the Olympic Training Center. Bonita Golf Course has an outstanding bar & grill with delicious food and great service. Beautiful nature both towards the mountains and oceanside.

The breakfast was not up to my standards.
The breakfast was not up to my standards. The eggs tasted like water, no bacon just sausages. I only ate breakfast there my first morning, the other 3 I went somewhere else. The hotel charged my credit card the amount I paid at Booking.com.

Room was big and very clean. And nicely decorated. Super friendly staff. No breakfast but nice coffeehouse where you can get discount if you are staying in the hotel. Free cruiser bikes for the day. Cycling from hotel to Coronado is feasible via South (25km one way on flat bike lanes). The surroundings seem sketchy but only 3mn walk from E Street Blue line trolley stop. Felt safe all the way. Nice sunset and seaview.

There are Starbucks, 7eleven, gas station, innout and other restaurant near by hotel.It is also so close to outlet. A lot of parking area. Hot water in shower. Quiet and safe place. Average breakfast but good compared to hotels in USA. Staffs were helpful and smiling. Room is big enough.

The location is fantastic it is in a lovely residential area and getting an Uber is very easy. The accommodation is beautiful, it feels welcoming and homely. We loved the pool and hot tub and the owner was extremely helpful. I would recommend!
