The room was clean and cozy. The bed was comfortable. I especially liked the desk that was situated by a window, which allowed ample light while working. Check-in was also super easy. I had the parking lot virtually to myself.

This place was in a great location. We were about 18 minutes from White Sands , about 4 minutes from restaurants. Had a fridge , microwave, dishwasher…. All we needed . The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was quite good .

Lots of room in the double Queen room. Fridge, microwave, tv. Lots of pillows! Clean towels and linen. Nice pool too. And an excellent A/C unit. Very good experience and would definitely stay here again.

Cloudcroft is a cute little mountain town that is great for passing through, or the occasional day trip. But I cant recommend staying here for even one night, unless youre camping in the mountains. The hotels charge +200 a night The restaurants are very limited (if you can even catch them open - Our first night there the only viable option was in-room ramen noodles because the restaurants were either closed or had +1 hour waits) The locals clearly dont want you there (blocking off public streets with homemade signs) The best thing to do in Cloudcroft has nothing to do with the town or the people there IMO (hiking/camping nearby is pretty nice)

Cloudcroft has always been a place where families can go and reunite. It has stayed small and not too commercial. Families can focus on having a good time just doing thing together like walking, hiking or playing in the snow. We have visited for 50 years and we love the relaxing atmosphere.

Wonderful bakery and a good pizza place.(the brewerey). Otherwise food was mediocre at best. No fresh fruits. People were not that friendly except at the bakery and pizza. The town is pretty but I wouldn't go back.

It's just a beautiful spot in the mountains to relax and unwind. Very good bars, restaurants and cafes in town, and a lot of stunning walks in the area. The Western Bar is a good quirky place with good beers. Mad Jacks BBQ is fantastic - get there early! It's steep in parts but it is very easy to get around Cloudcroft on foot. If I could, I would move there tomorrow.

Cloudcroft is a wonderful small town at a high elevation.

Cloudcroft is a wonderful small town at a high elevation. We came here to cool off in the heat of summer and it was quite refreshing! The town is small and relaxed, but has plenty of options for eating, drinking, and shopping. Ruidoso is bigger and not far away, and there are lots of hiking opportunities nearby.

It is a great little mountain village and not nearly as commercial as Ruidoso. Ruidoso has much better places to eat and entertainment, but if you want a quiet place with a wonderful climate during the summer months, this is the place to visit.

Friendly staff. Yummy breakfast, real hot protein. I liked the fire pit on the balcony and the comfy patio furniture. I forgot a few toiletries and the staff replaced them for me with a smile. Cute decor in the common areas made it feel very welcoming. Great pizza across the street and a great coffee shack 2 minutes down the road. The whole place felt nice and clean.

This is a very interesting old hotel that has been renovated. It has the feel of El Tovar inside and the rooms are modern and very comfortable. The pool and hot tub were great, and we were allowed to go up into the cupola to view sunset and moonrise. A wonderful place!
