We stayed at the IRONCLAD INN - excellent accomodations, very friendly owners/staff. Great breakfast. Nice bourbon "lounge" with unique tasty food.
Toured the town via horse and carriage, Mary Washington house, Rising Sun Tavern and Mercer Apothecary.
Orifinos restaurant - excellent food

Fredricksburg is a beautiful historic city.
Fredricksburg is a beautiful historic city. I stay near Central Park which is an amazing shopping center with many restaurants and stores. It is a very safe area. George Washington's childhood home is not far and is a beautiful place to see and there are many other historic sites in the area. I love Fredricksburg!

Fredericksburg and its historical past are incredibly...
Fredericksburg and its historical past are incredibly charming. The downtown area and restaurants make for a fun evening. Musical events are abundant and the original folks who grew up there have the old Virginia accent that makes you feel invited for long conversations. Pickers Supply and Carl's Ice Cream were two of our favorite spots, along with Geroge Washingtons boyhood home and other Civil War landmarks.

There were many places to go and many sights to see. many places near the Hotel to eat and shop. I wasn’t there for a vacation. It was easy to get around Fredericksburg. I would have loved to have been in Fredericksburg longer.

I was there for a high school student music festival and...
I was there for a high school student music festival and concert. Rush hour traffic is abysmal, It took 13 minutes to go 2 miles!
There are a lot of wonderful historic sites if you can get to them,

The place is close to many restaurants and stores that are in easy walking distance. My dog stayed for free. The price was very affordable - under $85US. The room was a nice size and it was very clean.
Too much traffic noise all night and early morning. Not much soundproofing in room.

I did like the old-time America theme. I liked the location: near the bus stop, 20 minute walk into historic Fredericksburg and being very near the Rappahannock River trail.
