Never in my entire life did a hotel threat me that special.
It was a nice and welcoming hotel
The facilities were also very good

The city and surrounding area is over rated.
The city and surrounding area is over rated. The only venues we actually seen were the beach and the zoo, and then they over charge for parking and entrance.
The only other attraction was a casino, but we did not go there.
Must be nice for locals, but I do not see any benefits for vacationers.

We stayed at Al & Sally's Motel.
We stayed at Al & Sally's Motel. We love Indiana State Park Beach for the amenities, Shady Creek Winery for the Beach Glass Wine, Carlson's Root Beer & Hot Dog Stand for the cheeseburgers & Chicago dogs, Gelsosomo's deep dish pizza, Indiana Dunes Visitor Center for their maps & gift shop, the variety of trails in both the state and national parks, the blue Michigan Lake, and we discovered a new restaurant this visit, the Bistro on the Greens - we were the only ones there on a Wednesday night and sat on the patio, the service was great and the blackened catfish, shrimp & cheesy grits were the best I have ever had. I will be dreaming of that dish! We love the area and are from Dayton, Ohio.

There were plenty of good restaurants to choose from.
There were plenty of good restaurants to choose from. We ate at Olive Garden and Shoreline Brewery. Washington Park is their treasure. We were there specifically for the Dunes. We went to the outlet mall for a quick trip. It’s nice. We will go to touristy shops next time.

Quiet little town with charm and a few shops close to train.
Quiet little town with charm and a few shops close to train. Can ride away is the beach and casino. There is a mansion there as well but we didn’t have time to visit. Overall nice location from SouthShore train. Bike rental would have been nice. We were close to Central Beach at a quiet MOTEL ( Al’s)

First time visitor and the family and I loved it.
First time visitor and the family and I loved it. The Zoo was awesome. Botanical gardens was great!! Close to the beach and if we didn't have the kids we would of hit up the casino. Outlet shops were better than expected also. Everything is close or like a 10/15 min drive.

Antique Market across from the Quality Inn had a great variety of things to look at and buy, something for everyone.
Kohl's has clothes for all seasons, if you happen to forget a hoodie or a flannel shirt to cover up on a cool summers night(because Walmart doesn't carry things like that)
Has Blue Chip Casino (but there is smoking allowed in the casino)
Four Winds Casino is just 10 miles away and it's non-smoking.
