Cute college town vibes with excellent restaurants and driving distance to lots of wonderful outdoor activities! Terun Pizza, Zareen, and Macarena were some of our favorite meals. SomiSomi and Salt and Straw for sweet treats! Parking in the downtown area can be tricky with 2 hour limits and 4 zones for weekday parking. But it is free! Can't say that about much in PA!

It was close by to Stanford Medical Center and the University. If you need to close to Stanford Hospital or the University is the only reason to stay in Palo Alto. Reasonable hotels are located on east bay size or in San Jose.

Lots of wonderful restaurants in the area.
Lots of wonderful restaurants in the area. California Street a little north of the Dinah's is closed to traffic at least on the weekends. Many restaurants along California Street, University Ave. etc.
We had dinner at a wonderful Pakistani Restaurant -- Zareen's. good value, very friendly atmosphere.
Nearby Stanford Shopping Center, Stanford University. Also plenty to see and do on campus including museum.

Palo Alto, nice neighbour hood which felt safe.
Palo Alto, nice neighbour hood which felt safe. I was able to walk from the Caltrain station to the hotel without feeling afraid. Although not much to do in the immediate neighbourhood. Nearby areas like Santa Clara and Hillsdale provided things to do.
Great to see the Scharity shop in the area.

Palo Alto is a great location.
Palo Alto is a great location. There are several great restaurants near by. I would recommend The Pasta Market, Chef Chu's, Tofu house and the Green Elephant. Touring the Stanford Campus is fun. They have a collection of wonderful Rodin Sculptures. There is always Stanford Shopping mall which has an excellent selection of shops.

I never knew how beautiful Stanford University was!
I never knew how beautiful Stanford University was! It is definitely worth a visit. Don't miss the beautiful church and the amazing Art museum. Our hotel was @ a 1 hour walk to downtown Palo Alto, but only a 25 minute walk to the Caltrain station on California Avenue. This street is also like a mini downtown with a few good restaurants and shops. The train ride to the Palo Alto station was less than five minutes.

The hotel is in a great location. It is very modern and kept very clean. Most rooms have a bathtub which is very nice, you can have a hot bath after a long day. The beds are very comfortable. The room was very clean, the carpet flooring was cleaned properly. The AC and ventilation are not noisy, I had a very good sleep in this hotel.

Privately owned motel in Palo Alto on El Camino Real between San Francisco and San Jose, yet quiet and safe with a pool area. Shopping and restaurants nearby. A very friendly motel manager. A good base for exploring the Bay Area.
