It felt like a little luxury oasis in the desert. Rooms were clean and lovely. Beds were super comfortable. The food was all delicious and abundant. And the safari drives were exceptional. It didn’t feel overcrowded or commercial. Great and well planned activities - We loved every minute.

Not ideal for game viewing.

Not ideal for game viewing. Limited animals to view for tourists that want a serious safari. The road there was boring and the landscape just average. My children will be visiting in December and I know they will be disappointed because they are used to Umfolozi/Hluhluwe Game Reserves

Privacy is always our first priority and of course a hot tub...

Privacy is always our first priority and of course a hot tub as well - and we found it at Bokmakierie. Sitting on the front or rear deck, your landscape is awesome. In-and exterior of Bokmakierie is luxurious and done with taste and love. Coffee, rusk, olive oil, the best. Our host, Carin assists us with the location which was very helpful

The wildlife that was in close view when driving in and out...

The wildlife that was in close view when driving in and out of the place, the night sky was clear and full of the moon. The tub was not too clean, but I still enjoyed it. There was no microwave to warm food. The deck needs a bit more shelter for nighttime, as the wind comes up, making it not nice to sit outside for too long. maybe enclose the tub area side more . Overall, the place is beautiful and great for a couple to relax with no disturbance

Absolutely beautiful.

Absolutely beautiful. Tierkloof Mountain Cottages are stunning. Cleanliness, perfection comes to mind. Perfect surroundings. A special gem. Thank you to the Hosts Robin and Elsa. They made us feel so welcome. Definitely a place to add on your bucket list.
