We loved spending 2 nights there, tranquil, nice and quiet, only thing I would have preferred was as a pet friendly facility that dogs don't walk freely meaning our pets were restrained Overall not what some reviews said We will go back

Please try to make the place much more visible upon approach...

Please try to make the place much more visible upon approach. Trees too much covering the entrance. Sign post does not tally with name of the place White Mountain Lodge. The place is somehow run down needs some maintenance. Try to host Festivals of Maskandi for locals. Dj performances and mudic Festivals for summer. It can pickup the place. Research and communicate with local radio stations for host shows. That can pick up the vibe and host weddings couple with self catering and self decor within your hall. Allow the bride and groom bookings and their guests.Introduce a drone photo shoot in the package. Create a flower garden with a nice painted wall as a photo boot and photo shoot. Sell canned drinks not bottles and ice cubes. Create braai stand all around a cross the dam above open veld. Provide a kiosk for charcoal. Wood. Tissue, sweets and snacks. Disposable glasses. Plates derbieyyrd and soft drinks not hard drinks. Fire lighters and matches sweets etc.

The photos and the actual lodge are a far cry from each...

The photos and the actual lodge are a far cry from each other- The parking space is too far from the cold untidy room. We did not even have clean water to wash our hands at reception - Our monies paid in advance , despite being requested was (in the region of over R 20k for 3 nights) was denied. The menu at the restaurant blackboard did not allow for our needs. We tried to arrange this in advance - to no avail as teh mobile number was either never available or engaged. The network in the area was poor if not non-existent.
