It was a very light, open and spacious apartment with every little detail thought out. One can truly see that a lot of thought went into all the finishes and extras in the apartment. The hosts were also lovely and very accommodating.

A good base to enjoy the area.

A good base to enjoy the area. Quiet and safe residential area. The Gansbay golf course is fun and Hermanus course a must do for golfers. Lots of safe hiking opportunities in and around and along the shore. Good shopping nearby.

Its a quiet coastal town that offers great views and a relaxing break. Its not too far to drive and you can chill by lunch time. A great destination for a mini break, We were close to the local pub, but just stayed in. We had great runs along the seashore and on the road along the beach. The local shop was almost on our doorstep. It seems to be a great fishing area too.

Beautiful little place - we went to Klipgat caves and the beach - people are very friendly too - its a shame the crocodile place only had 2 crocodiles there which we opted to not go see for that reason

Franskraal is on the far end of Gansbaai, Nice area within a couple of kilometers from each other. Worthwhile visiting ... De Kelders Caves, nice hike, beautiful to see. Stanford Cove good with tidal pool, also a nice hike. Sunsets good, beaches good for picking up a shell or two. Shark diving available in Kleinbaai ..

The fact that the unit has an upper and ground level floor...

The fact that the unit has an upper and ground level floor can be disturbing as the people staying in the ground level unit hear every sound in the upper level. The latter can be disturbing if you go there to rest, although the rules that stipulate no children and no noise before 6 o'clock in the morning and 10 p.m. help.
