The accommodation is part of a bigger gated property so there are two gates to enter. The accommodation is set on a pecan farm so it is surrounded by trees so very beautiful. It was very peaceful and quiet. Accomodation was clean and neat. Bedding and towels provided were good quality. Tea, coffee and sugar, kettle, toaster, microwave and a good sized bar fridge is available. Plus the most amazing speculoos biscuits were provided. This accomodation is best for nature lovers as it's set between the trees, so you may see some wonderful bird life as well as sight some squirrels. The host and her daughter were very welcoming, and gave us some good tips for the nearby eateries and attractions. Overall, a very good stay. Just note that this accomodation does not have an aircon, but it does have a ceiling fan which does the job.

The cleanliness of the facilities was really good. The staff, from the cleaning ladies to the security guards and the guy who showed us to our tent were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Even the property guard dog, Ranger, was an absolute sweet heart popping in to say hi. The atmosphere is that of relaxation, comfort, yet close to nature.

The room was beautifully decorated and the setting is idyllic and relaxing. They have farm animals (sheep and chicken), and if you are into fishing you can fish in the small dams on the property (I am not a fisher-woman, so I took in the natural beauty). The gardens are very pretty. There are several restaurants in the vicinity of the guesthouse and Hardebeesport dam is very close. Danie and his wife are very hospitable.

We slept at the Merry Mongoose Tent, which caters to three people. Amazing stay- truly a home away from home. I give it a 5-star rating. We had an amazing stay at this camping site. The place was beautiful, peaceful, and felt like a real home away from home. From the check-in process to the friendly staff and housekeepers, clean bathrooms, everything was handled so well. We honestly could not fault the place. There are just a few small things that could be improved. We were informed that the accommodation had an electric blanket, but unfortunately, only the double bed had one, while the two single beds did not have any electric blankets and only one blanket was made available. As the nights can get quite cold, having an electric blanket and sufficient blankets for all beds would make the stay even more comfortable. It would be great to have a mirror in the bathroom, as this would be very convenient for guests. Other than these small things, we absolutely loved our stay; the environment, hospitality, and overall experience were amazing. We would definitely recommend this place and would love to visit again.
