Facilities are clean. The kitchen is big, the restaurant serves good food (cocktails not so good). The staff at the front desk are very friendly.

Patrick and Melody were great hosts and explained everything about the place (and gave recommendations) as soon as we arrived. The place is very clean with the staff constantly sweeping. It was convenient diving with them (TwoBar) and Andrew was a patient instructor/dive buddy that explained things well. The location is less than a 15 min drive to the beach and also close to the main town area. I lounged by their pool after my dive and had no trouble cooking in the communal kitchen they have. I would book again when back!

Excellent location near the beach and diving. Our family could comfortably enjoy a week together. The jacuzzi was a bonus especially after diving in winter.

Lovely house, very well equipped! Loved some of the smaller well thought out things like rechargeable lights placed at strategic points that automatically lights up during loadshedding. The verandah with the gas grill was just fantastic!

Loved the property, very secure and surrounded by trees and greenery, there was a swimming pool just down the walkway and close enough to walk to town. The House was well kitted out and everything we needed was there, comfortable for the whole family. Fortunate our housekeeper that came in every morning was so friendly and helpful. Made the holiday worry-free!

Sodwana is a special place - always has been.

Sodwana is a special place - always has been. Beautiful reefs to scuba and the weather is good most of the time. It is a pity that ISimangaliso is managing this beautiful place into the ground. It is unfortunately not a new thing and has been going on for years.

I joined the Sodwana Bay facebook group and enquired about whats new. No more horse riding available, but new art activities. We went scuba diving most of the time, but also did some big game deep sea fishing, and quad biking outings and a lady from the art shop came round one evening and we had fun trying to paint canvas with painting of our respective partners.

Sodwana Bay is a beautiful beach with amazing wildlife.

Sodwana Bay is a beautiful beach with amazing wildlife. I am very disappointed that Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife and iSimangaliso Wetland Park are abusing nature for financial gain. It is a case of taking lots of money at the entrance gates and not putting it back into the maintenance and upgrading of facilities. Entrance fees, vehicle fees, conservation fees, overnight fees to Ezemvelo and iSimangaliso, and this excludes your actual accommodation costs to the place where you stay. Shocking! What is also happening with the conservation of such a precious place? Humans cannot just keep taking, without putting back. It is the rape of nature!

Lovely, clean, expensive, friendly.

Lovely, clean, expensive, friendly. Payment to get access to beaches was too much to pay daily, rather charge a once off conservation fee to get access to the beaches like a permit for weekly entrance fee for holiday goesers.

It is THE place for scuba diving in South Africa!

It is THE place for scuba diving in South Africa! We can only recommend it ! Beaches are empty and one can snorkel on the house reef during low tide. Pity about the state of the reserve in general as it is not maintained and one often find no running water at the showers located at the beach.
