A very neat & clean townhouse that is nicely located in Margaret River to allow for the ability to walk to bars & restaurants. The house was a good size for a family of 4 incl. 2 teenagers. The kitchen was easy to use to cook in.

As an Aussie that grew up in WA I wanted to give my American husband (on our one week trip to WA) the most “authentic” bush experience I could given our short time here. Flame Tree Retreat is PERFECT!! A short drive to downtown Margaret River and a short drive to Surfers Point (it’s right in the middle of both!) made the location absolutely perfect! The home itself is beautifully decorated, keeping everything simple but elegant, fitting in with the natural environment. Everything was sparkling clean and the beds very comfortable. The highlight for my husband and I (especially him!) was sitting on the verandah and watching the numerous kangaroos grazing at sunset.. and at dawn! The verandah is the perfect spot to watch the Roos and kookaburras in the most peaceful and serene setting. The other highlight was the stars! There is no light pollution and if you go out when it’s dark, there are millions of stars that just cover the sky! Flame Tree Retreat is worth every cent! The owners are easily contactable if needed and everything was a breeze! I think I won wife of the year award by stumbling on this home and booking it! It is a home away from home (the energy there is incredible) and I know we will definitely be back again next time!

The cottage was perfect for our mid-winter getaway and exceeded our expectations of the cosy hideaway nestled amongst the trees! A great base to explore the region and to find the best spots for whale spotting! The fresh flowers and lovely scents around the cottage were a lovely finishing touch.

A very special timber and stone cottage looking over the forest. We had a cosy and comfortable 5 nights. We loved watching all the little birds. Many beautiful forest and coastal walks nearby plus all the food and wine anyone could ask for only a short drive away. Great care is taken by Janie and Bobbie for their guests' comfort including beautiful bed linen.

Small, cosy cottage in secluded, quiet bushland. Beautiful luxury touches throughout the cottage which made the stay feel very elevated and special. It had everything we needed and we absolutely loved our time here.

What a cosy, relaxing and delightful place to stay! It was honestly so well thought out and just stunning where every you looked. Not to mention the hosts were kind and inviting. Even left the lights on when it got dark for my dad!
