The accommodation was spotless, and so well equipped. It had everything we needed to have a breakfast in the morning, before our walk to Malham. Andy was an outstanding host. Made sure we were settled in to the accommodation, and the welcome hamper was much appreciated! Furniture, and beds were luxurious. The sofa in the living room was a slice of heaven after our 20 mile day walking. Would deffo return. Genuinely cannot fault. Thank you for having us.

Coziness, living room layout with a wood-burning stove and an adjoining kitchen. Very well equipped facilities (kitchen, bath) and accessories (washer, ironing board, kitchen dishes and washing needs). Quite comfortable mattresses and linens. The owner provided most detailed instructions for every aspect of cottage use and information on locale hiking opportunities.

West View Cottage is located in Settle, just 3.8 miles from Yorkshire Falconry Centre and 6.1 miles from Yorkshire Dales-National Trust. The 4-star vacation home is 19 miles from Clitheroe Castle.

We saw from a previous post that the lock box was at the back door, but it was a bit hard to open the front door at first. Once we mastered that, all good. There were lots of books and maps about local and nearby attractions. Location was great. We could walk to things easily.

The pool table, tennis table, lovely living room area. Owner was obliging and helpful. The Dales were fantastic for cyclists who like hills.
