Cottages in Brest

The views where amazing, the sound of the river water was calming, all quiet! House was super clean, well equipped . Any place is a bit far just because of the mountains and the roads but we wouldn’t change it. One hour to Lake Bled and one hour plus to the caves, recommend the vignette to save time for sure. Towels and linens included. Heaters and chimney were a plus, wood included 😍. Had welcome goddies 💗

The owners live on site in one unit and met me when I arrived. The little unit I had, looked out across their backyard to the river where they had a pontoon. Swans swam on the river. There were kyacks and canoes to use if I wanted. It was quiet and peaceful but close to the city center. Easy to get to Postojna Caves and to Lake Bled. My leave day coincided with a major walk for the City - Liberation Day - Walk the Wire - to commemorate the removal of the barbed wire fence that divided the City after WWII. This walk goes straight past the River House so my wonderful hosts arranged for me to park my car at the neighbours across the paddock so I would able to drive out. I highly recommend staying at River Houses, it is peaceful and close to everything and the hosts are just lovely. Wished I could have stayed longer just to sit by the river and slowly paddle up and down.

It was the perfect size for our group. The location was perfect for what we needed. Parking was onsite and easy.

Spacious in a quiet neighborhood. A well supplied kitchen for modest meals and plenty of wardrobe space. It’s very well decorated and an enjoyable space to spend your evenings after a busy day. The location is fabulous for driving around Slovenia with ease of getting into the city center.

The location is amazing, and the pictures on the site do this property no good. It is much better than on the photos, I think the owners should put some better photos which capture both the nature and the layout inside the house. You are completly remote and can enjoy the house for yourself. We liked the barbeque and the fire pit especially. Regarding the location itself, it is great for hiking and relaxing in the nature.

We had a great stay! The location is excellent, close to the city center with a lovely 10-minute walk along the river, and conveniently near the highway. The house has 4 bedrooms, a beautiful kitchen, a nice terrace, and a lovely garden. The host was very friendly, and the two parking spaces were a great bonus. Highly recommended!

Very secure and private. Host communicated well. Historic interior design added interested. Comfortable beds. Good space for sharing with a group of 5.
