Loved this this laid-back place, just outside Sigiriya. The family helped us arrange a tuktuk in the early hours for the hike up Pidurangala Rock and recommended visiting Sigiriya Rock for sunset, which was amazing. The cottage was comfortable, the pool fantastic on these hot, sultry December days, and the wildlife amazing: monkeys, peacocks, and nearby elephants which we glimpsed in the dark. Best of all was the delicious home-cooked Sri Lankan food, and the kind and friendly family. It is a little way out of the village but this is easily accessed by tuktuk. It is Aldo nice and quiet. Highly recommended.

It was in a convenient location, with a great view of the Lion's Rock. The accommodation was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast included was delicious. Most importantly, our host, Lala, was excellent — he gave good recommendations and helped us with our itinerary from booking a safari tour to arranging our transportation. Thoroughly enjoyed chatting with him too! Highly recommend Lion Wood Treehouse!

The place is really nice and the owner is very welcoming. He was available and gave great insight on what activities we should do. He spotted our traveler profile and advised us accordingly. At the hotel, you can grab some bikes and there is a cool trail around the nearby lake... The room was clean, bigger than expected, and comfortable. The food was good and they bake their berad onsite etc... You can't go wrong there.

One of the best accommodations experience within my travel. Hosts are exceptional, easy to work with to arrange transportation within Sigiriya, and the pick up from the train station. Breakfast is beyond amazing. The cottage is spacious and super clean. The territory is quiet and safe. I will definitely choose to stay here again if I am back in Sigiriya.

This place is just stunning. You’ll get more of what you see in the pictures. The level of service is outstanding. Consider that to reach the place you need to call them to send you a tuktuk because the roads are a bit bumpy and cars cannot reach easily. The food was amazing and generous. The bedroom tidy and with AC. The best part is they welcome you with cold towels and watermelon juice.

Everything was just perfect from the arrival till the departure. The room is nice, super clean. You are living with the family and from the beginning you feel very welcomed...The place is very quiet and there is a beautiful view from the terase. And the breakfast? Super delicious and made with love :) Everything is homemade, fresh...ahhh I miss it so much :) The whole family is sooo helpful, friendly and nice. I hope I will be back soon :)
