Loved the location right in the midst of this beautiful town! The staff were so accommodating & helpful. The room was great with awesome windows that opened over the village. The breakfast was really nice.

The Hotel da Oliveira is within the historical Guimarães city center, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Guimarães Castle, the city’s most iconic landmark is 492 feet away.

The location, the ambience, and the staff make this my favorite hotel in Portugal. This was my second time staying at the HOOL. I will be back.

Beautifully decorated and very cozy small local hotel which has very responsive staff, at a great value. I'll definitely try to stay here again when we return to Guimaraes.

The breakfast was amazing so many options and very delicious. The spa, pool and gym were really good as well. The room was very pretty and I was happy that the individual beds were next to each other. The night was very cold but inside the hotel was very warm, with the climate control for the room working great as well.

Awesome hostel, staff, owner, experience. the location is nearly perfect and on a quiet street. the staff is always on top of every detail. the rooms have heaters and are warm. thekitchen is very useable, well equipped . they do everything they can to make it as great as possible.

We stayed at Paco de Pombeiro for one night during our trip from Braga to Douro valley. The place is really calm, relaxing, and has everything you need for a shorter stay. There is a pool, plenty of parking and beatiful views on the surronding wineries. We had great breakfast, and were pleasntly suprised by the hospitality of the owners (Ingrid and Marcus) that were really responsive and attentive to every our request. We’ll definetelly stay there again if we’re in area!

Just a short drive from the city of Braga, this hotel is located in the Portuguese countryside and has been built and decorated in harmony with its surroundings.

Beautiful space, with a feel between the old and the modern. Loved the rustic stone walls through out the entire space while having all the modern acomodations. Very clean, and very peaceful and relaxing if you want to get out of the city. The owners are very nice and helful. We loved the space and would come back for sure. Recommend it. Even the two little dogs that greet everybody are nice and friendly 🐕 🐕 😀
